Nessex Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 As requested, here's a little size comparison between Lego minifigs and Minimates with the new X-Men set. I don't think that minimates are a bad match for the outside of the build. They look cool posed in front of what is very recognisably the Xavier Institute. The scale becomes more of an issue once you're inside the building. Comparison shots to follow. Quote
Nessex Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Even as far as lego minifigures go, the insides are pretty tight. When you try to insert Minimates, they're clearly too big. Quote
Nessex Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 In fact, if they have any kind of fancy headpiece or large hair, they pop above the actual ceiling height of the room: Quote
cylonchaney Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Haha little Lego Beast is so cute! Cyclops reminds me of Mickey Rooney in the 50's Twilight Zone when he was a jockey who got his wish to be big. Quote
Chigarillo Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Sweet! Thanks for posting those pictures. So it seems my initial thought of it needing to be doubled and then expanded a little more is about right. That should be easy to just add a few rows of bricks to the walls. Biggest challenge will probably be what to do with doors to make them scale better. Quote

How do MegaBloks figures scale to MiniMates? MegaBloks GIJoe They scale pretty well. I've built the MOTU sets and used them with my He-Man customs. They're a better fit than Lego sets at least. Quote
hellpop Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 The GI Joe set is now available on Mattel Creations. Looking at the set...boy I don't know. They look tiny even for the Mega figures, especially the HISS tank. Mattel does tend to discount this stuff, so I think I will wait for a deal. Quote

I don’t think the tank will work, you may be better off with the 3.75 tank. The plane might look good in background. Quote

nandoninny Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 someone posted photos on facebook. looks like minimates fit in both the jet and the hiss tank! Quote
Padrino Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) who can translate Chinese? this looks phenomenal. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/326362 Edited July 8 by Padrino Quote
nandoninny Posted July 8 Posted July 8 no idea on the chinese -- try google translate or something. but it says 1/24th scale -- which i googled: 1:24 scale is very close to the scale (1:22.5) used for European G scale narrow-gauge model trains, so 1:24 models are often used on model train layouts. Doll houses and furniture are also found on a 1:24 scale. An average adult male human figure stands just under 3 inches Quote

nandoninny Posted July 9 Posted July 9 i think they'll be fine next to each other. try emailling BBTS to see if they can provide more info. the price isn't bad Quote
buttheadsmate Posted July 9 Posted July 9 (edited) Just trying to help & I guess it must have been said before.... There are several vehicles at the 1:24 scale that are definitely compatible with Minimates , the Minimate looks great standing next to the vehicle .....that rarely equates to the Minimate being able to sit in the vehicle . I have various 1:24 JADA vehicles , 66 Batmobile ,TMNT Party Wagon & BTTF DL ....they all look great with Minimates but the Minimate doesn't always seem to be compatible with the car seat . That Tumbler looks great. Edited July 9 by buttheadsmate sp. Quote
buttheadsmate Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I've just been looking at the BBTS site & they list a JADA Tumbler which is 1:24 & has a pic of Batman alongside it . It states that the Batman figure is 2 3/4 " . Quote
