But it occurred to me that if my parts are all castable, it might be worth spending the time to print some large size mates and work them completely smooth, then make molds. But I think some of the shapes might be challenging, especially for a beginner. I'll be following this work with great interest. That would be amazing, you could even cast the upper arms in a more flexible material for a tighter grip than could be printed. They'd probably need 2 piece moulds to handle some curves. A good way to work this is to look at seam lines on existing pieces. I've got a few more bits on my list - things that are pricey to track down and I need multiples of, or to replace missing/broken bits.
