Navaan Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I have been kinda busy with some things, and have not had a chance to tell this story to you all, but now that I can, I think it important to let folks know... @DSTZach attempted to frame me and get me arrested, and he sent me body parts in the mail. So. There I was, getting my packages, including one RUTHLESSLY sent to me by Zach. I had tossed him some stuff in the past, and FIENDISHLY, he sent me stuff in return. I was getting my packages out, I think last Monday, and one of my area maintenance workers was pulled up, and chatting with me, while another resident was getting their mail. 'Oh, hey, (Navaan), good package, I hope? What'd you get?' AND HERE is where the cunning plot is set; I say 'oh, just some body parts.' So imagine, then, my surprise, when an hour later, I get a knock on my door- why, it's the police! They question me, as the neighbor (perhaps in intended collusion with Zach?) had reported my comment, that I was receiving body parts in the mail! Well. I allowed the fine officers in, and showed them the evidence! Zach had indeed sent me body parts- chest pieces and arms, legs for Minimates to use for my AEW customs! I can only deduce this absolutely intricate and dangerous plot was Zach's intention, all the while! Jokes aside, the officers found it hilarious, and we had a good laugh about it. So did the maintenance worker when I told him, as he has been to my home and seen my toy room. Seriously, thanks to Zach for the parts, I will post up their use when I get to them (Jake Doyle and Mark Davis incoming!), but I thought this was too wild not to share. Funny enough, I actually have had some similar issues in the past, kinda, and wonder if the police even could have arrested me (I believe crimes in the mail go to the FBI since it is over state lines?), but previously had the FBI stop in after a warehouse I got a book from online got hit for drug smuggling in the UK, and apparently they tried to toss drugs in other packages to 'change the scent' to others. I also had my apartment complex call me and ask me not to get guns sent to the office... since I received Marauder Gun Runners, labeled as such, sent to my home and it was brought to the office. For those of you who do not know, Marauder makes GI Joe and military toy accessories. Still, funny moment, had to share, AND THANK YOU AGAIN, ZACH!!!! Quote

For many years it arrived in a clear envelope & I recall several 'raised-eyebrows' from the delivery lady/man who must have convinced themselves that it was my monthly SEX magazine. Quote

OH MAN, exactly that!!! That said, those mags used to circulate here in midwest US in comic stores and it was a hallmark of a true nerd of culture when they had some, over here. I remember thumbing through some mags, back in the day. IDK if Barnes and Noble is over there, but they still have a bunch of magazines, I should head over and check to see if they still carry any old hobbyist stuff. Quote
