Liney Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Going back and filling in some gaps in my collection, which lead me to wonder - what's the best Iceman? I like the original clear Wave 11, but wished he had a better ice effect like the frosted version. The blue tinted target version has a better contrast print X-Factor print doesn't show up too clearly, but does have his inhibitor belt I'd probably go with the clear Wave 11, but in an ideal world would frost him up a little more (maybe a matte spray?) with an ice accessories from Wave 59 Quote

Honorable mention to the First Class figure because of great tampo and the frosty hair! Quote

Trekker 42 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I’m going with X-Factor. I like the facial expression best on him out of the clear ones. Quote

SCW Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I wish we'd gotten a series 11 type Iceman with a much bluer tint. Could have made for a great Crystar! Quote
Nessex Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Yeah - I adored the original release and the blue tint version. I would have loved a more "crystalled" up version of him. I always thought he'd look good with "ice fists" and an iced-up shoulder armour piece in the style of the ToyBiz Mutant Armor series... Like what Nove Flame Human Torch got, but icy looking. Quote
cylonchaney Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I never really warmed up to the character. Thinks he's too cool for everyone else. I gotta go with the blue tinted myself. He seems pretty chill. Quote
buttheadsmate Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Icy what you did there but there was snow need Cylon . Quote
Barry Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Oddly, I like the Wave 59 version, but I took my Iceman head and hands and put them on the Bobby Drake body. (Just don't put Bobby's Head on Iceman's body... it's... weird.) Quote
elhonez Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I'm partial to XMFC, because if you remove the hairpiece A) he's smiling, which is more Bobby Drake's character, and B ) there aren't any x-belts or other costume bits underneath the ice, it's a "pure ice version." I'd go for one of the earlier translucent versions, but the grimace isn't aligned with my idea of Bobby. All that said, I use all of them in my team displays for various purposes. Quote
