I've never seen the movie & TBQH I have never opened the case that I have let alone one of the packs within it *

Why the post ?  Christmas is on the horizon & I also spotted a couple of ebay listings  ....really ?? 

Was there ever a thread on these because I can't find one ?

* late 2017 was a dark time for me so I'm not particularly surprised .

I remember them being announced and, more importantly, I remember them disappearing instantly. It was a set that I think just vanished as quickly as it came. Elf is a very popular movie with like… no collectables I can think of. 
Selling a few of those could fund your Luke’s orders for a while. 
I never wanted a set myself, but I do like the Santa in it and would enjoy putting him in my Marvel universe ‘Mates to be their resident Santa. Aside from this and Nightmare (which I maintain is a Halloween movie, damn it), Minimates were a bit bereft of good Christmas stuff. 

Side note, the Iron Giant two pack did something similar. Disappeared fast and has few EBay listings.

Elf has definitely become a Christmas Classic, at least in the US, and they are starting to crank out more seasonal merchandise, and not just Buddy. I saw a sweater that showed the narwhal saying "Good luck finding your dad, Buddy." I did a double take. 

But to be fair, it is the only Santa Minimate. And the only James Caan.

I searched for "Jovie" and couldn't find one. They were mentioned in the Toy Fair 2016 thread, but clearly I failed this set.

It's got to be the world's only Bob Newhart toy, I'd be surprised if it wasn't.
