Best Hulk

Hulk is one of the more prolific characters for Marvel Minimates for how unchanged he usually is. But since there's enough of him to do this with, I'll do my three categories.

Best Classic Hulk: Best of Wave 2. Bro's got it all. Perfect angry face, the big bulky open hands and big bulky feet, and the option to turn him into Puny Banner. https://minimatedatabase.com/figure.php?i=1671&n=Hulk

Best Alternate Hulk: I'm discounting Red Hulk from this because he's Ross not Banner. And as much as I want to give it to Best of Wave 3 Transforming Grey Hulk, it's just.. it's gotta be Maestro. The accessories are exceptional, the silhouette is intimidating... what more could you ask? Great minimate. Best Movie Hulk: Gladiator Hulk. The sheer volume of detail coupled with those incredible weapons really does bring out what I'd argue is the best Hulk minimate overall. I know he's not the classic Hulk look (best movie version of a classic Hulk I'd say is the original Avengers 1 Hulk) but he's just so well designed. First of all I'll guess that Shanester will say that his favourite is Wave 1 Hulk 

There are soooooo many Minimates I adore but these 'Best?' threads push me into a corner yelling about how many I dislike .....poor ol' Hulk is one of those   I'll elaborate , the Hulk character is, on the face of it , such a simple character but over the years (in the comics) whoever drew him put their mark on him ...Trimpe,Buscema , Steranko etc. etc.     Personally I even think that a Hulk's 'green' influences me , so it's a very difficult choice which Hulk I remember (from the comics) is the best .  There have been some superb  artistic variations of The Hulk & IMHO some fucking shocking variations .  Many Hulk Minimates take on this legacy ...if you know what I mean ?

All that aside I'd agree with you Trekker (Best of wave 2 ) is perhaps my favourite ,it captures most of my early Hulk memories . The green however ....?  The Defenders Hulk is  superb & only suffers because of the existence of (best of wave 2) just 6 years later .  The face is my favourite .

Between these 2 Minimate variants we had some ...er fucking shocking variations ... experimenting with the minimate form has sometimes been harrowing for me.  

I accept & appreciate that many of our 50 Hulk variations are exceptionally accurate to their comic /movie source , I just can't relate to them & that is no reflection on the Minimate.

Yep, Wave 1 Hulk got me started on this crazy ride.  He is kinda comical when you see the beauties like Wave 41 Hulk, Wave 45 Hulk, or even the Best of Wave 2 Hulk.  I have them all...

• Wave 41 "Mega Rage" Hulk
• TRU 22 Savage Hulk
• Lastly, there's something "off" about Best Of Hulk, but I really like the Banner transformation

I almost chose 'Mega Rage' .....he's the 'right green'  but has the wrong hair & face  .

So many of the best of/greatest hits figures had the potential to be the best version of their characters, but the absurdly bright colors on most of them make my eyes bleed. I understand what they were going for, but it’s too far in a lot of cases

Savage Hulk is really quite nice. He probably comes closest to Immortal Hulk in looks and now that I have come to love that book I might just need to pick up one.

I think the color on Best of Hulk is a bit odd, but there is some comic accuracy there.

I had no idea there were that many Hulk's, but checking out the database its between Mega Rage Hulk, and a the simpler times Defenders Hulk

I finally got my hands on a Savage Hulk a couple days ago and I gotta amend my statement. He is the best Hulk, He really is.
