Minimate Trading Cards?

Would you be interested in a line of Minimate trading cards? They could potentially feature original artwork from professional artists or stunning photos from Minimate photographers.

I have been wanting to produce Minimate trading cards for years, but I've never known if there is any demand out there. Please let me know if this is something you might be interested in.

In the last few months I've been collecting various sets of 'gum cards' that I had as a boy but parted with .   

I'd be interested in a line of Minimate trading cards.

I would really be interested in seeing them and discussing them, but I don't think I would ever purchase them physically. 

Are you thinking they'd be modeled after the Impel Marvel cards?

I haven't really decided yet - there are a few different routes I could go down, but I wanted to gauge general interest first.

Honestly, no I don’t think I would if they were their own purchase. 
 

If you got bored and printed them as Lurker rewards, every last point I have would go toward them.

I had an artist approach me about them, so illustrated cards is one possibility. And then if there was interest, I was also considering reaching out to some of the talented Minimate photographers on Instagram for photo cards.

I actually like the idea. As long as I liked the final look I would get them. In my head I am picturing something like Barry’s mockups. I would 100% get cards of those.

It's funny you should mention that, as the reason I created this post is that @Barry is going to be collaborating with our store on a few upcoming projects, and we are considering releasing trading cards based on "missing waves" we never got. These would not be designs previously created - they would be brand new, completely original designs that were never produced. Barry sent us these sneak preview images of what the artwork could look like on two of these sets:

• X-Men: The Savage Land
• Batman: Knightfall

The cards would feature full character designs - these smaller circles are just for this preview. So now that you've seen a sneak preview, would you guys be more interested to collect cards like these?

I would be into them! I like the idea. I actually think a collaboration with the Database would be neat; it would be fun to have "stats" on the back like the number of Wolverine Minimates made.
