Best Thor Minimate

Fuck it. Let's do Thor. 

It's funny to me that Minimates have almost gaslit me into thinking Thor has four circles on his costume. Turns out it's six. Wild. 

I don't think we've ever gotten an actually "Perfect" Thor. I think I can kitbash one, but I don't think one exists as is. But if I had to take an off the rack Thor and put him in my display, It'll be Heroes Return from wave 44. It's got the spinning Mjolnir accessory, the ability to display with and without beard, and a really nice big winged helmet. 

For Movie Thor, I give top prize to Dark World. About the only top prize Dark World will get. I like the gold a great deal and the chainmail arms. It also has one of the better movie Mjolnirs with the more square look than the rounded flattened Thor 1 and Avengers designs and that little bit of silver at the end.

I was going to say the Disney Avengers Thor but I then realised they are one & the same (W44) .

The gripe -       nigh on every single image that Google images* produce when you tap in "Marvel's Thor" shows him with massive biceps/arms yet 31 Minimate Thors have Don Blake style arms , it's a tragedy .

My "best of" Thor is a mashup of different releases and accessories.

Req1: Thor should have six of those chest-discs, and they should be blue-ish

Req2: I really like the textured boots

Req3: In the comics, his cape is/was often drawn with very high "shoulder peaks"

Req4: He should have a g-d spinning hammer!

• My "base" is Stormbreaker Thor
• I replace his legs with First Appearance Thor (for the extension of the blue discs)
• Boots from Best Of / Greatest Hits Thor (because I like their color better)
• Pointy Cape, Helmet/Hair, Beardless Face and Spinning Hammer from Heroes Return Thor (I prefer shinier helmets, but it has to work with the pointy cape)

So technically, by the numbers I'm pulling the most parts fro Heroes Return but I really prefer the Bronze Age look so I need the blue discs and textured yellow (not golden) boots.

(I've also made a couple of variants, including using the old cape from Thor 2.0 "Bearded Thor" b/c I like the look of that bigger chest block)

Ever consider the Helmet from the Marvel vs Capcom Thor? It's meant for the pointy cape but it's got the shiny helmet.

MVC was a damn good modern Thor too.
