The coat is going to need a bit more work. But there are tails already.

I need to do some printer maintenance one of these days. I can see my print quality is down some. Though this type of print is never going to look great this close up.

Fine tip Sharpie. Easy to get a good line using the brim as a guide.

So, the vinyl sticker paper I sourced locally has turned out to be crap. It says its for laser printer but the toner rubs off if you look at it wrong. I'm seriously having trouble even applying a sticker without some colour rubbing off. I much prefer my clear sticker paper. If I can get away with painting the back white it works way better. Thinner, stickier, and holds a print better.

However, I've been working on Spiderman Noir. Theres not much you can do for the chest but print out a sticker on white. What a nightmare with this sticker paper. Then it occurred to me. I could sculpt the detail into the chest in my 3d design program. So that's what I did. The face is printed on clear paper and painted white on the back where needed. I'm pretty happy with this one. Bear in mind 3d prints and close up photos ... bla bla bla. Also, black is the worst for showing layer lines and flaws.

 

If anyone can correctly guess the next three from their components, there will be a prize or something. LOL

Actually, printed in a different colour, that Noir chest would work as a cowboy shirt. And I already have a couple of cowboy hats designed. Hmm.

I'm having fun with scale lately. Goro is 1.2X. So bigger than Bizarro but not as big as a 2.5" Minimate.

It really adds up quickly. I've made about 60 3d printed characters now.

I know we're not a huge crowd anymore so I won't be disappointed if there are no takers. There may be prizes if anyone can correctly guess some questions. The questions:

1. What property are these figures based on?
2. What are these characters' names?
3. What would one of them be saying at this time?

Correctly guess any of the three and there can be a prize if you want one.

If there are any super-fans out there, I realize these two were not actually in this scene. Let's say they are re-enacting it.
