The promo will celebrate DST's 25th anniversary, and I think it is a lock.

The VInimate will be a male AEW wrestler, and it will be in a very cool box. Plus the wrestler will be at our booth to sign it.

The two SDCC sets I think I have previously teased, one is TMNT and one is TF.

I worked at an online toystore 25 years ago.   I remember we carried art asylum but what was the first dst toy?  We didn’t have a diamond license so i’m trying to remember when we lost art asylum.  I remember the music figures and eminem.  I remember the first larger minimates.   I’m probably all wrong on the history here.   I had the crouching tiger hidden dragon figures.  Those were pretty cool.  Did art asylum become dst?

DST bought Art Asylum, along with the Minimates brand, in the 2000s, I forget the year (before my time). The first DST item was, I believe, the Chaos Comics Dark Alliance action figures, although Battle of the Planets and Vampire the Masquerade came out not long after.

CHAOS Comics!!!!  i remember that lucifer (was that his name?)!  freaking awesome toy!!  damn.  thanks for the reminder!

i remember having to buy it from my comicshop since we didn't have a diamond account.  i was dating a super religious girl at the time and she was not impressed by it.

Like, a padlock? Similar to the fidget spinner DST did when those were all the rage?

Not sure about SDCC, but tickets for NYCC go on sale this week. I went last year and had a great time. I can snag you a pass if your interested in that this October.

Hey Onyx , I somehow missed your post , thank you for the great offer   October ...New York ?  Maybe maybe :)

So with that part about being before your time; does that mean we can rule out an official DSTZach minimate as part of a 25th promo? Lol

Also while it is a long shot; a Battle of the Planets set would be freaking awesome. Just one 6pk with all the heroes & main villian would be a dream.

ha!

i sincerely doubt that.

we're adult collectors.  worst we'd do is customize you as doc ock or something.

:D

i got the steve geppi figure and left him on the card and hung it in my office (no hammer needed).  i really wanted the digger one too (from his kickstarter -- so to be fair, him i'd be tempted to hammer but b/c there is no minimate so i have nothing to hammer.....and he's a big dude so i'm not going near the real one).

nah, i know a lot of folks say it but you kick ass and i hope a few negative nancies don't ruin this group for anyone

No, it's a four-pack of Turtles. BUT they are different enough that I think people will want them.

That makes me think it could be based on a few different versions. 2003, Live-action movie, the bros from the past in Last Ronin or the team from the new Last Ronin 2: Re-evolution comics are the main ones that come to my mind.

That last one sounds both right and awesome.

pretty sure Zach said July 1st.

as for what i'm hoping for -- i'd love turtles in disguise.  those trenchcoats and hats.  like the thing in disguise they did a while back.  but curious what this could be!!

Huh.

EDITED TO ADD: While I am not super thrilled with the choices as a collector, I do think these make for good convention exclusives (which I firmly believe should err more on the side of "quirky" than "essential"), so I am on board with them.

Heading out Tuesday AM. I'm hand- carrying prototypes for AEW series 4, Marvel 87 and I'm going to put designs for D&D3 in the panel. That might be it for this show, besides Marvel 86 and AEW 3, but hopefully everyone likes what they see.

Looking forward,  we should have some cool stuff at NYCC, as well as a few exclusives.
