Freaqualizer Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 The Slingers would fit this format. Dusk, Prodigy, Ricochet, and Hornet. 5th figure could be Peter Parker. Or maybe Comic Kaine Parker as Scarlet Spider. Or Cyber. Quote

AFMcGill Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Fantastic Four: Into the Microverse Mr. Fantastic (with alt Johnny Storm head), She-Hulk (FF uniform), Sue Storm as Malice (an alt unmasked Sue head can also be combined with She-Hulk torso and arms/legs of Mr. F to make FF Sue), Thing (in his black and red leotard costume from his solo series/West Coast Avengers) and Psycho-Man. Bonus pack-in: baby Franklin (ok he wasn't a baby in the story but...) Quote
AFMcGill Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 Okay, had this idea for a while and it is insane and would never be done but... the key was balancing these. Captain America vs. The Serpent Society Set 1: Steve Rogers as Captain America, Diamondback, Sidewinder, Anaconda and Cottonmouth. Set 2: Bucky as Captain America, Cobra, Eel, The Rattler and Fer-de-Lance. Set 3: Sam Wilson as Captain America, Viper I, Rock Python, Bushmaster and Coachwhip. Set 4: John Walker as U.S.Agent, Black Mamba, Asp, Puff Adder and Copperhead. Astonishingly... still some needed. Boomslang and Slither. I originally even had Madame Hydra and Princess Python included but thought Fer-de-Lance and Copperhead were more important. Boomslang was easily one of the most minor of them (only notable thing he did was get shot at the start of a story) and Slither was... never... quite a member, he was Madame Hydra's pet on a leash. I guess Viper I and Eel could both be dropped in favour of those two as they were only Serpent Squad rather than Society but both those respective Captain Americas had some actual history fighting those two over Boomslang and Slither. And Slither was once part of Mutant Force, a.k.a. the Resistants, one of my dream teams. They had those great uniforms and helmets, and some cool powers -- Lifter, Burner, Peeper, Mist Mistress. I still remember the issue where John Walker took on the entire team. Quote
AFMcGill Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 I'd love a Battlestar. I'd also love Death Adder and I managed to forget to list him despite him being the coolest Serpent member. A Cap boxset of Captain America (with parts to make into Capwolf) U.S.Agent Diamondback Nomad (and you could give it Steve Rogers hair to have Steve as Nomad) and finally Battlestar. Not an... unreasonable boxset? Would go fantastic with the D-Man we now have. Nomad's baby Bucky could be a pack-in even if it doesn't go with the yellow and blue Nomad... or to justify that, maybe some way to have Nomad with both looks - the arms, legs and crotch could be the same blue/dark blue. Mainly because that baby Bucky would be a brilliant pack-in. Quote
DSTZach Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I'd buy it. A design actually exists for Capwolf, I think he was one of the fan choice options for Wave 50 and he almost won. Quote

elhonez Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I'd buy that set too. Speaking of Cap, I've often wondered what an "Invaders 2" box set could contain. With today's 5-figure format: Miss America Whizzer Toro Spitfire Last spot would be the leader of another team: Spirit of '76 or Patriot (Jeffrey Mace), or a solo character like Destroyer, GA Vision (Aarkus), Blazing Skull or Angel Of course, you'd also need a villain set: U-Man Baron Blood Warrior Woman Iron Cross Master Man Quote

Just this last week I've been re-bagging & boarding my Marvel Cap comics , a 300+ continuous run of post-Tales of Suspense issues . I couldn't help myself by starting to partially re-read some of them to break up this otherwise tedious task . I would like to report to you that they were all 'stunning' & 'still precious' .......I can't do that because most of the story-arcs were repetitive drivel . Captain America (especially IMHO) was just one of the titles that, over the years, Marvel couldn't figure what to do with & I inevitably dropped out of buying them until Brubaker took the helm. Nuff said ? Forgive the necro above but it is extremely relevant regards Capwolf (Captain America issues 402-408) . I am by no means a Marvel expert but I have been around long enough to give an opinion that has 'matured' . This run of 6 comics culminated in the finale "Wolfpack Attack" &, as you may know, featured a whole bevy of characters with 'Wolf' in their names . I've just tried to re-read it ...for me it's the bottom of a pit that took several years to climb out of . Man-Wolf I could stomach with a proper moulded head so I guess 'Cap-Wolf' might find favour with some . Quote
AFMcGill Posted October 9, 2024 Author Posted October 9, 2024 A Captain America with parts to make into a wolf version has appeal outside of the story it is from. These are toys, imagine yourself a better story where he’s made into a wolf. Pretend it is a different character, a new rogue for him. Or that it is John Jameson from one panel of What If #51. Or just don’t use the parts and have him be a regular Cap. It’s not a good story but that doesn’t make the idea of getting a Minimate of him worthless. Quote
AFMcGill Posted October 9, 2024 Author Posted October 9, 2024 I'll eat up anything classically Cap. We still don't even have a comic Batroc!! Quote
