I forgot about these. I would have bought multiples of the Adventure Team set.  I had that guy with the clear limbs. LOL

The Super Adventure Team must have been the absolute last of the line for the tall guys and maybe not a good idea. I had many Joes as a kid, before and after Kung Fu grip. I don't remember the SAT at all. And I was still the target age for the line when it ended. I'm definitely the target market for these and likely would not have been interested in SAT.

Idk about toy buying demographics but as an armchair observer, it seems to me RAH was and is the way to go. I'd personally love it if Adventure Team was the next set. But for the sake of the line I hope it's RAH and at least three new characters. Should be four but I'm trying to be realistic here. :)

oh i agree, but there were some cool designs and interesting new parts in that set that would have been great for customizing.

This H.I.S.S. Tank looks a bit small to me. Definitely not going to be able to fit a Minimate in it. Sky Striker might be big enough though. It reminds me of the MOTU sets that they made. Some vehicles were too small for Minimates, while others worked pretty good (Talon Fighter).

Be sure to check out G.I. Joe #1. It has a pretty shocking ending. Great start to the series, although Baroness is kind of annoying with her nasty attitude. It's only a matter of time until she betrays the new team.

Zach have any new G.I. Joe Minimates based on the Skybound comics been designed yet, or are they still in the planning stages? Can you reveal the other G.I. Joe Minimates that were going to be coming out before deciding to concentrate on the new Skybound comics version of G.I. Joe? I think you had said that the next wave or two had been planned out already.

I have not been shown the new designs, but I believe they exist.

I'd rather not talk about what could have been, but hopefully some of those designs will make it into the new line, as there is some character overlap.

Kinda disappointed to hear its one set of joes and one set of cobra.   Can you share the reasoning behind that?   My guess is thats the only way to not repeat 3 - 4 characters in the first set.

I think it's a way to work in smaller characters without blowing all the big characters in set 1. Both sets have a repeated character or two, but that's to be expected.

I hope the Joe set has Duke, Baroness, Clutch, and either Stalker or Rock n Roll. Scarlet can be the main character in the next Joe set with Jinx and two others.

I really hope we see the Dreadnoks sooner rather than later in a Cobra set. We haven't seen Zartan yet in the comics, but have seen Buzzer, Ripper, and Torch.  B.A.T.s were pretty prominent in the Destro comic. Hopefully we see them in the first or second Cobra set.

@DSTZach Are y'all working with Skybound on these?  If so, good time to bring up more Invincible 'Mates. :)

That said, I'm excited for these.  Baroness' Joe design is bonkers fun.

We do have a license with Skybound for a few things, including Invincible for action figures and The Walking Dead for action figures and statues, but I believe the Minimates are going through Hasbro.

I'm still getting caught up, but I've read both volumes of Void Rivals, Vol. 1 of Cobra Commander, Vol. 1 of Duke, and some stray issues of Destro, Scarlett and Transformers. But I know Barry is reading the new Joe series, and is aware of who plays what role. If you don't like the new comic series, you may not like the sets, but hopefully there's enough there for all to enjoy.

My 'carded' GI Joes have remained in their packs until yesterday .  I have never really had the time to explore them outside of their outer packaging & I've been content to enjoy them packaging-complete . So I opened the outer packages & was disappointed to find one of the blisters had come away from the card   .  I have always sympathised with the views of collectors who are either 'openers' or 'closers', I understand both stances .

Blisters falling off of carded MInimates has unfortunately been too common but with this particular line, which is in many ways an homage to the original carded figures, it is just plain sad .

I’m curious whose blister fell off for you. I had the same thing happen and I’d like to know if it was Roadblock for you too.

I do really want the little classified files cutouts to continue. They’re some of my favorite parts of the Joe sets. I saved every single one.

As much as I loved the carded minis, perhaps the vhs box set is the way to go. From a costs perspective? I just want this line to continue and having it be too costly was a reason people said they didn’t join in on the fun..

I often cast my eyes on the Bigbadtoystore site whose inventory is pretty extensive & diverse . A general view of their GI Joe merchandise is, to me at least, fairly conclusive that GI Joe merchandise, in general, doesn't seem to sell too well ,leastways not at 'original price'.    Maybe I'm wrong in my conclusions but there is an awful lot of stuff being heavily discounted ( up to 80%) .               One stand -out item is the Series 2 carded Minimates which remain steadfast at their original price whilst the Series 1 carded set is discounted by 45% .

Far fewer of Series 2 were made than Series 1, likely due to the lower orders. I'm hoping that the new Skybound sets will reverse that trend.

Any previews or info on when these will be solicited?

I would not like to be perceived as a naysayer for further GI Joe Minimates , that isn't my motive .

The confirmation that "Far fewer of Series 2 were made ...."  just emphasises what I'm thinking because "Series 2" is still readily available online , 2 years after it was released .   If I use "Power Rangers " Minimates as a parallel example , Box set 2 of that line was also, obviously, produced in far fewer numbers than box set 1 .....  BUT are impossible to find online .

I think the designs will be in for approval shortly. They're not as far along as I thought.
