I am looking forward to getting a couple of the Hiss tanks. Has DST ever considered vehicles to go with the G.I. Joe Minimates? I think that would get fans in the G.I. Joe community more interested in G.I. Joe Minimates. Start with something small like a Fang or Zartan with his Swamp Skier.

Obviously, we'd love to make vehicles, but you need a big order to pay for that massive tooling. Not out of the question, but we'll see how the line evolves.

People that collect the G.I. Joe Classified line begged for vehicles when the line started. There haven't been a ton of vehicles released thus far, but the ones that have released sell really well. The HasLab vehicles all funded extremely fast also. I am hoping the G.I. Joe  Minimates continues and evolves.  

Zach can you give us clues on what the next Minimate set is, or is it still undecided?

I believe we are looking to the new, bestselling comics for inspiration. Hopefully that leads to some new characters, with an unavoidable exception or two. I'm excited!

Excited that the comics might help us finally get more to this series but I really, really hope the cartoon ones get made too. I can easily rattle off a dozen or two but Flint and Jaye are at the top. I have been able to read the new comics yet are due the character designs stay close to the classic cartoon, comic and/or toy versions or do they totally redesign everyone?

Skybound is making the G.I. Joe A Real American Hero comics, which is still being written by Larry Hama. Those looks are what we all know and love. The Energon Universe comics are their own thing. So far we have got a Cobra Commander, Duke, Destro, and Scarlet comic (which was horrible). Duke looks kinda scruffy with a beard and long hair, but is clean shaven at the end of his series. Cobra Commander looks looks goofy at first, wearing a trench coat and fedora for part of his comic. He looks great though by the end and is dressed similar to the Minimate that we have already received. Scarlet wears a different looking outfit, but like I said, that comic is horrible.

I suggest that you check out Cobra Commander and the Duke comics. I think those are the best out of the four so far. Cobra Commander's storyline involves Cobra-la. Some people hate Cobra-la, but I think it was pretty well done. I think there may be trade paperbacks out for them.

The characters that we have seen so far in the books (that I recall) are: Duke, Scarlet, Jinx, Clutch, Hawk, Stalker, Rock n Roll, Cover Girl, Destro, Iron Grenadiers, Darklon, Baroness, Major Bludd, Mercer, BAT, Scrap Iron, Cobra Troopers, Cobra Commander, Pythona, Cobra-la Royal Guards, Nemesis, Golobulus, Buzzer, Ripper, Torch, Zarana, Zandar, Storm Shadow, Tomax, Xamot, Crimson Guard, Chameleon (new character I believe), General Flagg.

I am also enjoying Scarlett alongside all the Energon Universe titles. I've dug Kelly Thompson's work over at Marvel and now a little DC. Her characters feel authentic to me.

Thanks! I didn’t know they were continuing the existing and doing Energon. For some reason I thought they were just doing the Energon ones. Hopefully I can give it a try soon. Being a child in the 80s and 90s GI Joe and Transformers were a big part of my youth.

Four issues in and it still is not very good in my opinion. The other three limited series have been much better. Glad that you and some others are enjoying it though.

i'd buy any combination of these characters but i'm a sucker for joe and a sucker for minimates

biggest ask -- can someone make a base of that arm?!?!  the jeep and the soundwave looking piece would be neat bonuses too but man, that arm w/ the figues on it is awesome!  reminds me of the sentinel pieces some x-men legends came with back in the day.

Obviously I'd prefer unmade characters, like Stalker, but I'd be fine with a good-guy Baroness or a pouched-up Duke or Destro with a steel arm.

With THAT iteration of Chameleon, you'd be wise to do a figure of her as, as of this post, she has not had a figure. Same as Risk. While they won't make some people happy, some folks will look at it as a chance to get the first figure of new Joe characters.

i'd have to reread the Duke series but have Flint and Lady Jaye shown up yet?  i can't recall.

but i think we have enough here to get going.  hopefully the line lasts longer than the ARAH line and we get there
