Shanester
I honestly can't think of an 80s cartoon I liked. That was around the time I was getting out of cartoons altogether. I grew up on Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo, Super Friends and Jonny Quest. I may have given Dungeons & Dragons a chance but it didn't hook me. Most of my favorites started airing in the previous decade; Flash Gordon, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes. We shared similar households in this respect. I did catch a lot of Thundarr and Space Ghost, too. This was Saturday Morning, mind you. Weekdays was Battle of the Planets & Speed Racer. MisterPL
Yup. Hanna-Barbera managed to produce some great action cartoons back in the day. And while I never acquired a taste for Battle of the Planets or Speed Racer (despite watching them begrudgingly from time to time) I have very early memories of enjoying Gigantor. Polarboy
Even though they are technically 70's cartoons it was the 80's when I watched them so I would be all over a boxset of the Archies or Josie and the Pussycats. I would also be all over 2 packs of Yogi and Boo Boo or Captain Caveman and Jabber Jaws. Mind you having said that the non human characters would have to be done like that bear out of the street fighter line because I would probably pass on a Yogi done in Muppets style. karamazov80
Wacky Races could make for an awesome wave of Minimates. But it wouldn't sell very well I bet. Maybe a generic, classic Hanna Barbera license would though. Yogi, Huckleberry Hound, Adam Ant, Space Ghost, Birdman, Captain Caveman, Dino-Mutt, Hong Kong Fooey, Quick Draw McGraw. Wasn't Flintstones and the Jetsons Hanna Barbera?
