Here's Wave 11 / MOKF3, "Oriental Expediters"

Fah Lo Suee is packed with Doctor Petrie.

Both of these are Sax Rohmer estate characters, and you won't be seeing them in Marvel anytime soon. However: Xu Xialing (MCU) was based on the general concept of Fah Lo Suee. She is Fu Manchu's daughter and Shang-Chi's sister. I don't really have much to say about Petrie. He appeared in enough issues that I couldn't ignore him, but just look at the shlub. Mostly QC, although I'm proud of myself for getting "close enough" when mixing a green jacket paint to color-match the limbs I was able to scare up.

Kimba and Bolo.

They are bodyguards of Fah Lo Suee. They are also Fireman Flint Chang x2 from the MAX line with Mandarin chests. They also have Trek Mirror daggers that I painted gold. I thought Kimba would be easier than he was, because I was deceived by a splash page I was using for reference depicting him in a vest. Then I read the next issue, and realized it was an artist's error, and he actually had sleeves with fancy crisscross straps on the forearms. So I dredged up a couple of corsage pieces from two Dawn mates and painted those to match the vest.

Clive Reston and Chankar.

Clive Reston is your hero anchor of this wave. He's a bit of an MI-6 archetype, and a British mashup undoubtedly born from the mind of American creators who relied on their limited knowledge of English things to flesh him out. Case in point: it was heavily alluded that he was James Bond's illegitimate son, and a Grand-Nephew of Sherlock Holmes. I'm sure he was also a godson of Winston Churchill and best mates with Alan Parsons. Chankar is just a big brute. I had to hand-paint his chest, and it's here that the limitations of my skills are on full display. In the future, I may try my hand at decals for these odd shapes.

Fu Manchu 2.0, Peko the Monkey and Ducharme (aka "Agent D").

I saw ref for Fu in this outfit, and I decided I'd double-down and make this one as well, because I thought it looked cool. And he literally wore a different robe in every single issue, so it tracks. Peko is his lil' buddy. Ducharme is like a triple-agent, who apparently was only faking it when helping MI-6 by turning on Fu Manchu.

I'm looking at this picture, and there is a lot of green in it. Next wave might have more color variation? We'll see.

Thank you! I'm going to go ahead and shift gears immediately to a new wave. There will be at least one more animal companion. There will be a "Build-A-Figure." There's a theme, but a loose one. There is certainly connective tissue. And the name of this wave will be challenging perhaps even for BHM? I'm breaking changing my no-proper nouns rule. Which is another broad hint, I suppose.

Before I indulge in proving I need to get myself  "a life" by cracking the hangman :), may I just say that your latest batch ought to be up for 'pre-order' .....stunning !   The monkey ? What's his provenance ?

Oh yeah        _ _ _   THE ?

Only that truly evil men must have a small pet to stroke, providing an ironic dimension to their character in demonstrating that they are, in fact, capable of caring for another living being, even if the power dynamics of said relationship are somewhat questionable. Blofeld. Dr. Evil. Jafar. Tenderness juxtaposed with cruelty... or perhaps plain old control and dominance? (personally, I think Peko was always calling the shots)

I will observe that while the monkey may be in the last wave, the next wave is BANANAS. This isn't really a hint. It won't help with the title. But I am noting that the 1970s were delightfully unhinged years for Marvel.
