Well,

With the drought of Minimates lately I have started to diversify into the occasional Kubrick set to feed my block figure addiction.

Today in the post I got a set of 'sex pistols' Kubricks... and they are totally awesome!!!!!!

I know that Kubricks normally look chunky and odd but these are simply stunning...

From the cool Leather jackets to the snarly near perfect facial expressions there are pretty much perfect.

ok so so I took pix....

If you aren't biased totally towards minimates go seek a set of these out they rock...

I know this is sacrilege but trust y'all may just bear with me, but what're some of your Kubrick holy grails? not necessarily rare ones or even expensive ones, could be ones you missed out on or ones you always liked the look of but could never get ahold of (that now go for silly money)

- I'll start, as a kid I always wanted toys of, then noticed Kubrick provided
1) the minority report spiders
2) the T-1 (with treads and machine guns)
3) the brick camo solid snake/with crocodile head in either Toyfare or a playstation mag (perhaps both)
4) the twins in the matrix line (obviously a pair of them hehe)

and to give this post a happy ending, I'll have you know I've gotten my hands on 2/4 of those entries! indeed, I was lucky and got a lil job lot with not one but TWO spiders as well as troubled copper John Anderton...unfortunately I am still yet to manage to assemble the spiders, the balls are far too large for the sockets (bhm inbound lol) even though I try the hot water trick

Thinking about getting in to these. My LCS has some bearbricks from around 2010. Not sure if they're still made nowadays. From what I see on youtube and what not...the collections seem to be more bearbricks designed or inspired by certain artist and not pop culture manifestations. I do have the medicom watchmen set which are awesome to me...and kind of preventing me from picking up the watchmen set of mates (too many duplicates...but I'll probably give in eventually).

Hey all,

I'm new here. I have a lot of Kubricks that I've collected over the years that I now have to part with (for good reasons, but still have to part with). I have a lot of the SWAT series but unfortunately I have them in a big ziploc bag with all of the accessories mixed together. Is there a resource (like a photo archive) that someone could direct me to so that I can put the right figure with the right accessory to sell them?I tried the medico site but it was useless and their FB page has phone cases on it??

Thanks in adavnce,

How do you folks that collect Kubricks buy them? Opened/identified, sealed, by the case? I have bought some sealed, mostly for the surprise I guess. Most of my purchases are opened so I can start or complete sets.

I've never gotten a secret through buying sealed boxes, but I have gotten a few of the harder to find figures.

Strange to me that Locke is rarer than Sawyer. I don't really like the variants very much, as figures, but Ben is so awesome. He is absurdly mysterious, and his consistently wacky unpredictability has somehow made him one of the most predictable characters on the show.

Anyway, I'll definitely try to pick up a regular set of these. I'll have to pick up a Jack Bauer so that he and Sayid can torture my Metal Gear terrorists together.

We really need a set of "Wire" Kubs now.

Title says it all really.

The Jewel of my collection is probably that I have a full set of MSG2 Kubricks... Including the insanely expensive chase figures.

My personal favourites are the Sex Pistols Kubricks I own, mostly because the likenesses for Sid and Johnny are so spot on.

I have a few other random Kubricks such as the GTA3 and Blair witch sets...

The one thing that sit's on the borderline of must have but I keep putting off is the SAS truck that kubrick did... It just looks so damn cool!

Sadly most Kubricks are to expensive to consider becoming a completist so I have resigned myself to be a dabbler.

New Time Capsule Spider-Man toys.

With all the hype from the upcoming movie, Spider-Man 3, Yujin has decided to get a piece of the action. To be added to their Time Capsule series later this month come Spider-Man and five others, all with over-sized heads, round bellies and short limbs.

The characters in this group are Spider-Man, Venom, Carnage, Doppelganger, Scarlet-Spider and Man-Spider.

Each figure is priced at 300yen ($2.50US) and intended for sale through “Gacha” machines in Japan.

I'm pretty sure that these promotional Be@rs are slightly smaller than traditional Be@rbricks, but still. . .kind of cool.

Liquid, regular Ocelot, Solidus, Snake in his MGS2 alter ego (Iroquois Pliskin--I'll be getting an extra to switch the head out from my MGS2 Snake), the full camo with mask from MGS 4 (waste of a figure, in my opinion--could have chosen Meryl, Boss, young Ocelot, Psycho Mantis, or any number of other, better figures here), and. . .I guess a soldier from MGS 4?
