Very bad news if you are in the midst of any of their partworks/collections

I collected the Doctor Who figurines , coming in late a 2 or 3 years ago, after buying up a couple of collections from lapsed collectors. I've still spent a small fortune on keeping them up together but this news will be a bombshell for anybody following the part-works .

There's whispers of some sort of restructure of the group but, more to the point, they apparently owed the Chinese manufacturers big money.

Truth is that they were a shite company to deal with in all respects. I'm not notorious for my patience but 'Eaglemoss' knew how to bring the worst out in me .

Their products however were generally pretty special ....especially if they arrived unbroken ,which was rare, consequently I have become adept at super- gluing appendages back onto Eaglemoss daleks . I am also pretty good at ungluing my finger & thumb .

In various threads there is a recurring theme ....Minimate prices are moving upwards.

I'm fairly certain that nobody here wanted that but should we be realistic ?

In DST's defence .....who knew I'd ever type that? ....prices/costs of just about everything else is going up ,leastways they are in my country . So why not ,mates?

One direction now is 'value added' ,enhanced packaging , what do you think ?

I don't expect a flood of replies but I'm interested in what you think.

MMMV Dream Reunion

Last night, I had a dream about attending a Minimate Multiverse reunion meetup. The turnout was great with several of the 'old guard' of the board in attendance. It was a literal Who's Who of the original members that made this place great. The only issue was the resort we met at ended up being part of a nudist colony. Everyone decided they were comfortable with that and decided to bare it all (I specifically remember Eric Dlugoklinski being especially eager to disrobe publicly). The group photo was even more traumatizing. I say it was a dream, but nightmare is probably a better term. In fact, I actually booked a series of appointments with a therapist before posting this. Not sure what this says about my psyche, but it can't be anything good.

Who knew it would take a dream about a naked buttheadsmate to get me back on the forum boards?

this is why I left...this is why i'm having issues, its more that one man is too much work as he basically said it himself! I didn't wanna be the bad guy here, and he only has it half right even as I explained it to him several times. So if i'm the only one that has an issue, and has asked him a couple times to fix it why hasn't he? and being his lack of communication not telling me what he planned on doing until he starts copping an attitude, I got news for you pal, theres other groups...yours isn't the only one, who the hell do you think you are treating people this way, you say you haven't helped anyone in along time, maybe you need to spend more time here, I've seen a lot of issues you don't address you've ignored for over a year, I've read some issues on people that were banned a lot of them it seems they have very good reason to be pissed off. you just don't care to deal with issue, banning and ignoring people is your easy way of doing things.

I have disabled Vigilink for this forum starting today. I don't like how it messes up link that members add and it has completely ruined how the site was supported by advertisers. The site has received ZERO affiliate fees for 2017 and hopefully things can go back to the way they were.

Is the MMMV Android app gone?

So far the bumping/reposting of trade posts has been going well so we'll keep that policy going. Just be sure to remove your old post if you bump/repost (if we see two posts in a thread by the same member, the older one WILL BE DELETED).

If you have direct links in your signature to your trade/sell lists, THEY MAY CHANGE. With posts that will be removed, people reposting, the links are going to change for EVERYONE. So it may be best to link to the main trade thread instead of your specific post.

One last thing, EVERY POST MUST HAVE UPDATED DATE LINE. It would be nice to all have the same format & color but not absolutely required. Just keep it so it is easy to read and at the very top of your list.

Signature images

We have talked about this before, yet it comes up again. The rules on signature images has been in the guidelines since day 1. Signature images that are blatantly against the guidelines have been tolerated...until now. If the image you wish to use is very close to the guidelines, but just a little too large, talk to a staff member about it. If you have questions about using signature images, ask a staff member. The guidelines are there to do just that...guide you. However, some folks are abusing it.

Please, fix your signature or it will disappear.

A Home Away From Home (on Facebook)

Back in the dark times when the Minimate Multiverse experienced a few days of torturous outages, a member stepped up and made a Facebook page so we could get information out to other members and still talk about our addiction until our site was restored. Undeadpool, has agreed to work with me to make this page an official part of the Multiverse. We will echo announcements, contests, and reviews on the Facebook page as often as possible. New Indie Comics section for Minimates

The "parts needed" and "haves/wants" lists

I've been looking over the parts, haves, & wants lists in the Flea Market area and have noticed several very old lists. Lists that have not been updated in over a year will probably disappear soon, so check yours out if you want to keep it.

Also, I encourage members to take a look at the parts and figures that other members need. If you can help someone out this would be the perfect time of year to earn some Minimate Kharma.

For the benefit of anyone who uses Tapatalk on their iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Chromebook or Android device I'm thrilled to let you know that the Multiverse now has full Tapatalk support.

I appreciate this might not mean anything to many of you, and while we do already have an Android App this at least gives people another method of using the site when on the go!

Haves/Wants TRADE/SALE Thread Bumping

Members will notice that the old rule of the TRADE & SALE threads in the Flea Market area has been relaxed on a trial basis. You no longer need to maintain a single post in the threads. You are now allowed to delete your old post and create a new one, "bumping" your list. ALL other rules still apply and you must still maintain an "Updated on" header. If this system is not abused, we will keep it.
