They are doing a survey/poll on the website for fans to decide the two figures in series 2, I know you guys like doing polls, right?!?!

I talked to the owner, Tim for a pretty long time. He's a good guy, there with his wife and daughter. They are really passionate about these figures. I drug a bunch of the guys over to check them out. I figured I'd share, since I happen to be really into the golden age, and a lot of the heroes/villains who have fallen into the public domain. I think these are the first non minifigures I have purchased in about 5 yrs. A lot of fun, and my son absolutely loves them.

There are plans for other properties too, but that was all they were able to announce. As a child of the 70's/80's, I cannot tell you how excited I am for these figures. The prices are steep, but the nostalgia factor is too strong for me to resist.

I worked with toys when the first Marvel Select figures started coming out, and was able to see a lot of them in person out of package as they came out. I was a Marvel Legends collector when ToyBiz started that line up so between the 2 lines I just really didnt like what the select lines were about.

 I've seen the quality improve over the years and slowly they get more characters, more licenses, better Q/A (so I've read), better Paint apps, etc. I finally gave Select figures a chance with the new KH Mickey and Pluto from Walgreens, and a Skellington Jack from there as well. The Mickey is missing his tail but is otherwise a nice little figure, pretty good balance, sculpt, paint. The Jack can't move his legs without being at risk of breaking. I'll chalk that up to the characters design though as getting those skinny legs articulated and keeping the joints nice and usable is probably a tall order.

So before I go on, has anyone picked up any of the new Pacific Rim Select figures?

DCC just announced five new figures yesterday:

With a sixth, Man-Bat, announced today on Facebook. More pictures and info here. The price point is high ($25), but without DCUC around I have some extra action figure money in the budget.

The price tag seemed steep at first but the more I found out about it, the more I think I need it. (Haha. "Need.")

As someone who doesn't generally go after high-ticket items, I'm picturing myself regretting not ordering it now while it's ONLY $500. Of course it's moot if Hasbro doesn't reach its 5,000-unit goal. I just wish I had more time to save up for it.

Not sure if they got them mixed up with the 2" unarticulated figures or what.  They were in this central toy section with Minecraft and Pokemon toys, not clearance.  Hope this is helpful...

They use the Glyos System, just like the Outer Space Men and Onell figures, so all of their parts are swappable. They have a really cool back story, which is basically that they forge all of the weapons for different universes, such as Masters of the Universe, Battle Beasts, Thundercats, etc. You can read more about the figures at http://www.weaponeersofmonkaa.com/. There are pics of the figures there, along with a link to the Spy Monkey store, where these just went up for order.

So this is a thing. 

A thing that makes me very excited. I'm not even going to touch the fact that Hasbro got the "master toy license"

I just started the show a few weeks ago, and I love it. I got the replica portal gun in my Pile of Loot at BBTS along with some of the McFarlane building sets (Scary Terry, Krombopulos Michael, and Ants in My Eyes Johnson), snagged a Pint Size Snowball & flocked con exclusive Funko Pop Snowball (he's totally my favorite character, despite only being in one episode - so far, I'm only halfway through season 3 right now) off eBay, and grabbed the Funko action figure of Mr. Poopy Butthole (with Snowball's build-a-figure piece) & a Mystery Mini (which turned out to be Squanchy!) on my way to work this morning. I plan to get more, but as probably all of you know, adding in a new line into your current toy budget isn't easy, so I'm going to have to go slowly.

No pics yet since I'm at work (though I suppose I could take pics of the figures I just got this morning), but feel free to share your own!

How do both these lines hold up? Do either of them survive actually being played with? I'm thinking about jumping the minimate ship to start another collection.

So far I have wave 2 (Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Golden Frieza, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta), wave 3 (Super Saiyan Vegito, Super Buu, Super Saiyan Gotenks), and wave 4 (Goku, Vegeta, Nappa).

These are 8", which I think is a really nice size for the $20 price tag. And I love that they used classic versions of all these characters. I would have loved these as a kid; as an adult, I'll probably get at least Cap and Spidey.
