	It appears as though McFarlane is getting into the 2 inch block type figures. Looks like just football players at the moment, but I wouldn't mind seeing Spawn and other Image characters in this size. I'd use the parts for Minimates and that is about it. I think these things are pretty ugly otherwise.

<p>Hi Guys and Gals, I wanted to share some new figures I picked up at C2E2. They are from a company called CKRTLab Toys. They are doing these slick looking Golden Age public Domain Superheroes.I am copying the press release.</p>
<p>PRESS RELEASE: <i>"The Toy Revolutionaries at CKRTLAB Toys announce the<br>release of their first line of vinyl action figures. Golden Age<br>Guardians are 5.5 inches tall, 6 points of articulation, made of<br>environmentally safe PVC and include 4 different weapons. WAVE ONE<br>includes "<b>American Crusader</b>" and "<b>The Black Terror</b>". A limited number of figures are also available in variant "Newsreel Black and White" editions."</i></p>
<p>Also available is CKRTLAB's blank figures, made for your customization pleasures: <i>"Create<br>your own Hero or Villain. 5.5 inches tall, 6 points of articulation,<br>made of environmentally safe PVC, and includes 4 different weapons and<br>cape."</i> All figures / versions are priced at US$20 per, purchasable now via <a href="http://www.ckrtlabtoys.com/" rel="external nofollow"><u>www.ckrtlabtoys.com</u></a>. I love it that there are superhero/villain-themed figures to customize, with or without "capes"! LOL</p>
<p>They are doing a survey/poll on the website for fans to decide the two figures in series 2, I know you guys like doing polls, right?!?!</p>
<p>I talked to the owner, Tim for a pretty long time. He's a good guy, there with his wife and daughter. They are really passionate about these figures. I drug a bunch of the guys over to check them out. I figured I'd share, since I happen to be really into the golden age, and a lot of the heroes/villains who have fallen into the public domain. I think these are the first non minifigures I have purchased in about 5 yrs. A lot of fun, and my son absolutely loves them. </p>
<p>Thanks for checking these out (I hope they are in the right forum)</p>
<p>Here's some of my pics, and some official ones</p>

<p>Have announced they have partnered with Funko and will be making similar "what if" action figure lines for the following properties:</p>

<p><b>- </b><b>Firefly</b></p>
<p><b>- </b><b>Goonies</b></p>
<p><b>- </b><b>ALIENS</b></p>
<p><b>- </b><b>Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV Series</b></p>
<p><b>- </b><b>Bill &amp; Ted’s Excellent Adventure</b></p>
<p><b>- Universal Monsters</b></p>
<p><b>- Back to the Future</b></p>
<p>There are plans for other properties too, but that was all they were able to announce. As a child of the 70's/80's, I cannot tell you how excited I am for these figures. The prices are steep, but the nostalgia factor is too strong for me to resist. </p>

<p>
	We needed a thread where we can chat about the miscellaneous Select figure lines that DST puts out. So here we are!
</p>

<p>
	I worked with toys when the first Marvel Select figures started coming out, and was able to see a lot of them in person out of package as they came out. I was a Marvel Legends collector when ToyBiz started that line up so between the 2 lines I just really didnt like what the select lines were about.
</p>

<p>
	 I've seen the quality improve over the years and slowly they get more characters, more licenses, better Q/A (so I've read), better Paint apps, etc. I finally gave Select figures a chance with the new KH Mickey and Pluto from Walgreens, and a Skellington Jack from there as well. The Mickey is missing his tail but is otherwise a nice little figure, pretty good balance, sculpt, paint. The Jack can't move his legs without being at risk of breaking. I'll chalk that up to the characters design though as getting those skinny legs articulated and keeping the joints nice and usable is probably a tall order.
</p>

<p>
	So before I go on, has anyone picked up any of the new Pacific Rim Select figures?
</p>

<p>

	I wanted an autographed photo so I had a look on ebay and there are so many reproductions with somewhat misleading descriptions. Anyway I found one that seems to be a reasonable price and it comes with a coa. What is the general opinion on these certificates? They could be printed up by the seller for all I know, I suppose if I wanted to be existential about it, If it's a fake but I think it's genuine and all it's doing is hanging on my wall does it matter?

<p>Wait, we don't already have a thread for this? I guess we just talked about it in the Toyfair thread. Weird. Anyway, this is the line I am most excited about right now. The show is an all-time classic, and while I like the old Kenner/Mattel figures (and am still adding figures I'm missing), I always wanted bigger, more articulated figures. One of the few DCC figures I still own and have on display is the Matt Wagner Batman from the Trinity line, because he's basically just an B:TAS design. But now we'll be getting the real thing, and I for one can't wait.</p>
<p>DCC just announced five new figures yesterday:</p>
<p><img src="http://i2.wp.com/www.actionfigureinsider.com/wpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/DCCAnimatedBanner2.jpg?resize=1200%2C401" alt="DCCAnimatedBanner2.jpg?resize=1200%2C401"></p>
<p>With a sixth, Man-Bat, announced today on Facebook. More pictures and info <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/1825490/exclusive-batman-the-animated-series-action-figures/" rel="external nofollow">here</a>. The price point is high ($25), but without DCUC around I have some extra action figure money in the budget.</p>

<p>
	The price tag seemed steep at first but the more I found out about it, the more I think I need it. (Haha. "Need.")
</p>

<p>
	As someone who doesn't generally go after high-ticket items, I'm picturing myself regretting not ordering it now while it's ONLY $500. Of course it's moot if Hasbro doesn't reach its 5,000-unit goal. I just wish I had more time to save up for it.

	If you like the Jakks 4" articulated World of Nintendo figs, my local Target in Iowa had one of the newer waves very cheap.  Don't remember the exact price but it was something around $3 each, got the whole wave for the price of one of them at BBTS.  Raccoon Mario, Metal Mario, Hammer Bro, Iggy Koopa.
</p>

<p>
	Not sure if they got them mixed up with the 2" unarticulated figures or what.  They were in this central toy section with Minecraft and Pokemon toys, not clearance.  Hope this is helpful...

<p>A fun set of 80's inspired figures by the guys over at Spy Monkey Creations:</p>
<p><img src="http://i.imgur.com/O0NSo.jpg" alt="O0NSo.jpg"></p>
<p>They use the Glyos System, just like the Outer Space Men and Onell figures, so all of their parts are swappable. They have a really cool back story, which is basically that they forge all of the weapons for different universes, such as Masters of the Universe, Battle Beasts, Thundercats, etc. You can read more about the figures at <a href="http://www.weaponeersofmonkaa.com/" rel="external nofollow">http://www.weaponeersofmonkaa.com/</a>. There are pics of the figures there, along with a link to the Spy Monkey store, where these just went up for order.</p>
<p>I will post pictures of my set once it arrives. <img src="https://www.minimatemultiverse.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="https://www.minimatemultiverse.com/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"></p>

<p>Does anyone have a Soundwave Transformers toy availiable for sale? Or, at the least, know where I can get one? The more I look at him the more I want! Who's into the show enough to collect some (or all) of the toys?
</p>

<p>
	I just started the show a few weeks ago, and I love it. I got the replica portal gun in my Pile of Loot at BBTS along with some of the McFarlane building sets (Scary Terry, Krombopulos Michael, and Ants in My Eyes Johnson), snagged a Pint Size Snowball &amp; flocked con exclusive Funko Pop Snowball (he's totally my favorite character, despite only being in one episode - so far, I'm only halfway through season 3 right now) off eBay, and grabbed the Funko action figure of Mr. Poopy Butthole (with Snowball's build-a-figure piece) &amp; a Mystery Mini (which turned out to be Squanchy!) on my way to work this morning. I plan to get more, but as probably all of you know, adding in a new line into your current toy budget isn't easy, so I'm going to have to go slowly.
</p>

<p>
	No pics yet since I'm at work (though I suppose I could take pics of the figures I just got this morning), but feel free to share your own!

<p>
	Anyone have a wide encompassing line that they like besides minimates? I've been looking at s h figuarts and hot toys. They both seem pretty decent. I wish figuarts had more marvel and DC stuff as their price point is a little easier for me.
</p>

<p>
	How do both these lines hold up? Do either of them survive actually being played with? I'm thinking about jumping the minimate ship to start another collection.

<p>
	So, in some news I completely missed there were some WWE retro style figures made by Mattel. These are the same style as the old hasbro figs. They're Walmart exclusive. Currently available are: Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens. The Ultimate Warrior and Undertaker are going to be released later. I cannot wait to find these! These are great for anyone that remembers the old hasbro figs.

<p>
	Does anyone else collect the Neo Shodo Dragon Ball Z toy line by Bandai? I started collecting them recently. They're 3.75 inches, which is nice, because they fit in well next to the Marvel Universe 3.75 inch figures (even if the DBZ ones are a tad shorter), and they have great detail and articulation.
</p>

<p>
	So far I have wave 2 (Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Golden Frieza, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta), wave 3 (Super Saiyan Vegito, Super Buu, Super Saiyan Gotenks), and wave 4 (Goku, Vegeta, Nappa).

	Saw these on AFI and thought I'd share:

<p>
	These are 8", which I think is a really nice size for the $20 price tag. And I love that they used classic versions of all these characters. I would have <em>loved </em>these as a kid; as an adult, I'll probably get at least Cap and Spidey.
