To address the "unruly" chat, it is, what it is. Gift horse...mouth...and all that. However, I did get a little frustrated when questions were tossed out without prompting as it kinda confused things, but I don't think anyone acted badly or intended any confusion. Need I point out that SuperSpiderPiggy was absent from this session?! It could have been worse.

As for transcript, I think I dropped the ball here. During the last chat session with Chuck, the transcripts were collected by someone other than me and I did not realize that the chat history falls off after a while, meaning that when I chose to copy the transcript and the end of the session (reasonable idea, yes?), most of the beginning had deleted itself from record. Therefore, I have about half the session. My fault!

I think we need a better Chat client as ParaChat is not cheap and sucks balls (IMO). I did leave it open to let folks continue with their discussions. It was asked, why we don't leave it open all the time. The answer is that with this client, we can't monitor it. If we (staff) are to be somewhat responsible for what goes on at this site, we cannot alow an unmonitored chat client to run as crazy things can be said, arranged, & carried out. I do not think there is a single current member who means ill-will, but it would not stop any other creeps who discover a free chat client from registering an account and starting "porn-chat", "pediphile-chat", etc.

Hopefully, we can resolve this in the future. Thanks to Chuck for hanging out and answering our questions. Thanks to all who showed up for participating and representing our hobby.

Well it was a chat, that's what it was billed as and what everyone except you expected. Chuck is very relaxed with these sorts of things and from my dealings with him he prefers it that way rather than just a simple stream of questions.

Also... I didn't say "Like" I said "enjoy"... If you are going to pick others up on misquoting you on single words then please at least try not to do it to other or you will come across as hypocritical.

I understand it was perhaps not all you had hoped for & it's fine you voiced that but the persistence with your complaint after you have already made your point means you are starting to come off as a bit of an arse.

Thanks for organizing this. It was fun to be a part of it and Chuck was great to take time out to do this.

One idea for the next one: Lightning round of character suggestions where we name a character and Chuck replies with short responses... like a Magic Eight-ball for future 'Mates.

No. I distinctly remember Chuck saying "No Kang. Ever." That was followed quickly by "No BCTtA" set. I scare your pain.

That was fun, I enjoyed it a lot. And trust me, I've been in insane chat rooms, and that was nothing. Chuck nailed all the questions that he wanted to.

Also, it was decided afterwords that the first Minimate Convention will be in Canada.

yeah i know its not worth trying to report a staff member here, but you are the one showing themselves to be the ass, i commented on the chat, maybe i read too much into it but it with all the "have your questions ready" lets have some order etc i thought it fell short is all but again i should know better than to voice ones true feelings here anytime you do you get attacked then when you try and defend your position you get attacked for that, typical.

It was also mentioned during the chat that Star Trek seems to be dead and that Chuck seems to think it was the mixed waves that killed the line and not the crappy 3rd wave. And I still don't agree with that. If those waves tanked, I think it must've been because retailers were still sitting on tons of wave 3 (and considering some retailers asre still sitting on that wave I tend to think that's the case).

You have argued far beyond the boundries of "making your point", you seem to be picking fights for the sake of it, have been snippy with other members and even with staff when they politely commented that you'd made your point and everyone else seemed to feel different about things.

Can I suggest you go take a break and calm down, before you are given an enforced one?

I think we see it and feel the same way, the 4th and 5th were actually pretty good but stores were clogged with the unmoving wave 3, so they didn't order more Trek.

I suspect Chuck see's things more in terms of numbers on a spreadsheet, the previous waves sold but those didn't, so it was those that killed it.

I'm still convinced releasing TNG as a couple boxed sets or an entire wave would sell really well, but it appears that the man who makes the decisions (and also has to deal with the consequences) doesn't share my opinion.

groundhog72, you don't need to apologize. No one does really. Where I saw problems was where Chuck would answer a question and people would ask questions, out of turn, about his answer. It just creates confusion, partly because of the crappy chat client we have. I hope to find a better solution.

Mattallica, I understand your frustration with the chat and appreciate your passion for order and answers to your questions. I get your message and consider it a vote for a better client and/or format. We'll work on it.
