So Wesley Snipes is Blade again and Patrick Warburton is returning to the Tick...

anyone else find it odd so much casting news is breaking on the Saturday of a three day weekend?

I’m gonna wait until Tuesday afternoon when studios actually send out press releases before I get too excited about any of this.

The Warburton/Tick news seems reasonable to me, but the Wesley Snipes stuff is pretty unbelievable. I'll hold out hope for the return of that great Tick show that was cut off far too soon, but I for one am eager to see Marvel do a full on reboot of the character (complete with new actor) via their Netflix outlet...

I LOVED Warburton as The Tick so I'm looking forward to him coming back to that role. (Especially if it means Minimates are more likely.)

Hadn't heard about Snipes. Funny that the comic book movie renaissance started with that franchise and was produced by a division of WB.

I'm calling it now: Michael Keaton returns as Batman in a live-action adaptation of "The Dark Knight Returns" as an HBO miniseries in 2017.

With the great word of mouth about "Birdman", this doesn't seem too far-fetched. I would love to see Keaton take another spin in the Batmobile.

I also have a tough time seeing old man Snipes as Blade, but Keaton as Bats. . .damn, I would take that over Affleck as an older, "grizzled" Bats any day. Despite my reservations over the WB's strategy and forthcoming DC films, I would be excited if that were to happen. But it won't.

Forget that. Think about all the great Shocker Toys products that we'll get out of this!

So the Snipes rumor was bulls**t (or no one credible covered it once news sites reopened on Tuesday) but the Warburton Tick story was covered by several so as promised:

YEEEAAAAAHHH!!!!!

To get pumped for the new episode(s maybe) let’s all hear Patrick narrate cheeseburgers to us:

This is what I can't stand about certain fan sites.

Someone asks Snipes if he'd be interested in returning to the Blade role, he says, "Sure," and it turns into "MARVEL REBOOTING BLADE WITH SNIPES!" And too many fans gobble it up and spread it like the manure it really is, preaching it as gospel because it came from the internet.

For what it's worth, I'd be happy to see Blade cameo in the upcoming Doctor Strange movie.
