Shanester
Breaking News! Donna Soldano, co-founder of Art Asylum, has left the company (now a part of Diamond Select Toys) to pursue other opportunities. Many long time fans have known Donna as the "Godmother" of Minimates for many years now. Donna's care, attention to detail, and love of Minimates, will surely be missed. Fujis
Wow, first Digger and now Donna. I wonder if she'll head over to Dig Deep?
TBT!
That explains why she's not going to be at the panel at the NY Con. So both founders of AA have moved on Both Donna and Digger. Sad news... Donna will be missed. She's always been kind and friendly to us minifans and was as informative and honest as her position allowed her to be. Let's hope "to pursue other opportunities." means positive things for her and I wish her all the best. T.

Ivan
That is sad news. I've been a member of the Donna fan club for quite a while. With Digger off making movies in Hong Kong, I felt that Donna was the driving force at AA. The heart of the company, if you don't mind the sappiness. It's probably been hard since the DST merger. I just hope the parting was amicable on both sides. Not "press release" amicable, but "behind the scenes" amicable. Donna, Digger, Manny, Adam... anyone left? buttheadsmate
She was obviously pretty special to receive accolades from 5 members in the first 5 posts who obviously were here from the very beginning of this forum. Unprecedented.
The_Donster
WOW!! It's been a few months since I spoke with her to wish her a Happy Holiday I wish her well in her future endeavors, she was always full of energy when I saw her. Hopefully she finds a place that appreciates that energy and this won't be the last time we see her name in print Good luck Donna, we'll miss you in SDCC
Reideen1313
While I'm sad to hear she's moving on, I have to assume she has her reasons and that she's doing what's right for her.
Amazing.JL
It's not so much of a shocker for me, actually was thinking about it since the merger. She is pretty cool and will be missed. Whatever the reasons are, I wish her the best.
Cappy
Awww. Not much reason to visit SDCC, now. Our best wishes go with you, Donna, where ever you may be!

TBT!
Will this hurt the DC line now that the godmother is gone? Only in that it would be like kicking a dead horse... if DC is dead already then it's not going to feel it. T.
Fujis
Will this hurt the DC line now that the godmother is gone? AA had little to do with the DC line. The only thing that might affect the DC line (ie resurrect it) would be the departure of Georg Brewer...

It was a deal where they used AA artists and was in place before DST bought AA out. T.
Iron-Cow
Just wanted to chime in here and say that Donna was *amazing* to work with. Even though I worked with them from time to time, Donna was always a bright spot in the group. Well, actually, everyone at AA was great, but like Ivan said, she was the heart of the company. Still, I have no doubt we'll see great things from her in the future. I'll miss emailing you the invoices, Donna! Matt aka Iron-Cow
