hellpop
I mentioned this in the Funko thread, but as it appears to involve more then just Funko, I thought it might deserve a thread: https://www.collectorcorps.com/ Basically Lootcrate, but just with Marvel stuff. I signed up for the Collector level, as the one benefit I see to the Founder level is that rather ugly Captain America statue. Zach, if you're reading this: any idea if DST might be participating? JeffBohn
Thought it was just Funko, per the FAQ "exclusive collectible product created by Marvel & Funko." Not going to commit for a full year, but I'd probably jump in for a Deadpool box. Beyond that, if there's anything that really catches my eye I'll hunt it down. hellpop
My understanding was that it would include non-Funko products at times, but I could be mistaken.
Zexion_Armando
If its just Funko, lol... those things make me vomit.
MiniFiend UK
No international as of yet An I agree Minimates would be a great fit for this kind of thing, except if they do exclusives!
UK Collector
The Best Of packs would be very good for this.
dr baghead
I signed up for the first month... I want that 6 inch Hulk Buster Pop (it’ll look great in my minimate armory, like as a giant robot) I’ll probably drop it after that since it’s nearly $10 extra with tax and shipping and I don’t wear novelty shirts (which eats up $20 or so of “$50 value”) I’m willing to spend $35 on the Hulkbuster because I know it’ll be more on eBay, but I can’t imagine an Ant-Man item I’d *need* so bad I’d be willing to spend $35 on. One of my co-works gets Lootcrates and she seems happy with it, she gave me an ugly Joker-as-Batman-Batman (what the product was seriously called) Pop! from one of them because she didn’t want it... but she wears novelty shirts though, so to her it’s probably “buy a T-shirt get free stuff” and not “buy a T-shirt you don’t want to get a thing you do want for slightly over market price instead of eBay’s CRAZY OVER market price” which must seem like a better value. Nessex
As it's being run by Marvel, i suspect it will focus / capitalise very heavily on the films they have coming out. If that's correct, then i expect it'll mean very little in the way of merch featuring the X-Men. I think this is going to be a pass for me. Also - i don't live in the U.S.
bigvis497
Hoping they don't include Minimates, the thing about these kind of offers is that there might be one thing I want but I don't want statues or t shirts or anything like that which I have no use for. dr baghead
I got mine today... it’s not bad. If anyone’s wondering how the value break down is: -The Hulkbuster is fantastic as is expected, since the 6inch pops run $15 I’ll count that as the value of this. -The “premium accessories” are a pin (with Cap on it) and an iron on badge (with Ultron on it) they give crap like this out as ‘freemiums’ with DVD’s or swag at cons, so I’m gonna count there worth as “nothing” (although I’m sure Funko would claim they’re $3-5 items if you bought them.) -There’s an exclusive Ultron DORBZ, which was unexpected, he’s not to my liking, but Dorbz retail for $9 -There’s an Avengers-Guardians team-up comic, it wasn’t listed on the “here’s what you get” list, but it’s there... the internet says it cost $4, so it’s $4 -Finally there’s a T-shirt, Mine is Thor Vs Ultron, the one in PixelDan’s review is Hulk Vs Ultron, I assume the other two designs are Iron Man and Cap Vs Ultron... it’s not a very high quality shirt, line art on a basic grey T-shirt. The tag says it’s made by “Flophouse” (which made me think of “Flophouse Podcast” which is awesome) so looking at their web-site they sell their shirts for $28 (HA!) but this is a $15 shirt... I will say, the design is nice (but that’s because I think Thor is goofy). I probably will wear it to see AoU if my wife doesn’t steal it first. So total value: What I feel it’s worth: $43 What Funko would probably argue it’s worth: $55 Since I have no interest in Ant-Man I won’t be getting the next box, but this one wasn’t bad.
