Die Hard Palz

I am a huge Die Hard fan and tried like mad to get some of these. I managed to pick up one when I made a trip to the states, and it wasnt even a McLane lol. I would still like some but the blind boxes keeps me away from seriously hunting for them.

Yeah, I thought that blind boxing them was dumb and goofy. I'd have likely picked some up if they hadn't done that.

They would make for great Xmas tree ornaments.

Yeah, that blind box gimmick just hasn't really worked with any U.S.-released toy that I know of. I think it is stupid, too. Who wants to basically have to buy an entire case of toys to (hopefully) ensure that you will get an entire wave of something? Those crazy Asians, though. . .they apparently just love the excitement: "will I get another Genero, or will I finally get Hans Gruber?! I can't wait to open my box and find out!!"

I never saw the Die Hard Palz in the store, but I probably would have bought one or two if I did. That is one of the great action films, no doubt.

I have collected PALz & Kubricks & long ago came to the conclusion that the 'blind-box' system is actually a subtle version of Multi-Level Marketing....buy the cases from the wholesaler ,open the blind-boxes & then corrolate your own complete set & then sell the rest off to whoever & wherever as opened boxes with disclosed figures.I have never succumbed to this method but I have occasionally bought cases when cheap.

I cannot be specific about the Die Hard PALz but it is claimed that the 1:64 chase figures in the X-Files PALz were produced in very small numbers perhaps less than 150*. This claim is made in various ebay auctions hosted by Condogcollectibles http://cgi.ebay.com/PALz-X-Files-2-Quantic...id=p3911.c0.m14

*If its true then I have about 20% of all that were made

Ivan once posted that he might include a PALz section in his Database ,if he ever does I would be more than happy to supply the PALz for the photo-shoot.

Die Hard has to be my favorite movie of all time. I managed to piece together a full set of the Palz on Ebay. Haven't looked in a while but seem to remember there being a lot of them on there, as well as the blind box auctions.

I got a nearly full set (except for dead Tony & the beat-up John/Hans figures) a couple of years ago for fairly cheap on eBay. I love them!!

Although, because of them, I nearly passed on minimates -- but then I realized that I could have both with no worries. :D

I got several of these last week. They are pretty great, especially Ellis! What a great face. Has anyone else noticed that their joints seem to be incredibly tight? These are the most uniformly and consistently tight joints on an action figure line that I remember. Die Hard rules.

Hans Gruber rules!! :D

Because of that movie, that's who Alan Rickman will be to me forever.

For me, too. Also, Bruce is always McClane to me. Bad-ass, defined. However, this guy is always Trivette, and Carl Winslow is always Carl Winslow.

Do you guys remember Die Hard Palz? I bought 4 of them when they came out. Ended up getting 2 of the same figures. The ratio of figures was nuts. It was almost like Kubricks case ratio. I remember Ho-ho-ho dead terrorist was 1:64.

Several months ago, I found a loose "Tony" figure with his gear at a Orlando-area shop, and grabbed it IMMEDIATELY!! I was lucky; I have not found another since.
