IndieMate
1403. I found the arguments for Kubricks and Mighty Muggs just too well reasoned. And I'm tired of being stupid. So this morning I buried all of my minimates in the garden. I'm hoping that in 4-6 weeks I will have some minimate plants because I am sure they would make for great pest repellant, what with them being so terribly unbearable and all. And if I ever need anything to throw at the neighborhood kids, I can just pluck a fresh and horrifying 'mate to chuck at them. Hah, I thought you were serious for a second. ROFL. Yeah, I was joking. I throw bricks at the pesky youths. Minimates wouldn't really do much. I always use old casettes. Damn, dirty, stinkin' kids...

buttheadsmate
Peter Griffin wishes he'd not met Christian Bale. http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/15/bale-wants-p...-the-f-king-set
Turtle
Ah crap. I clicked and apparently Darth Vader got a text message. Iowa, thanks for the tip. Now I know what to do with my New Kids on the Block collection.

Now I know what to do with my New Kids on the Block collection. I lob my MIB ,VHS X-Files Box sets (1-9) doused in gasoline at them ....scares the shit out of them. Turtle
Do you light the VHS on fire first or do you let the sweet scent of gasoline speak for itself?
buttheadsmate
I lure them in with doused Series One & Series Two ,unlit. Once they pick them up, I lob in the flaming, unleaded Series Three & Four . To date I have never had to use anything past Series Six. The trouble is that I "Trust No-One". Bob Harris
Wow, that must've been the third time I've seen that image used in these boards. And that's three times too much. On topic: Is that site dead yet? That soon? I was going to enjoy the things presented there as well as the speculation on who the owner might be. But good things often die early, right? NorthRaider
... it's probably a good thing. (The site petering out, not the un-PC image.) ... or he probably ran out of Darth Vader quotes. Think it's a good idea to actually ask Ivan if he was somehow involved in all this yet? Or is this my inner killjoy talking? Edited February 23, 2009 by NorthRaider
Bob Harris
Seems like he (or she?) is back on track. Newest hot better-than-minimates-item: Hasbro Heroes!
Danny
I never realised they did a "Galactic Heroes" Jabba - how cool is that?

groundhog7s
I used to think Darth Vader was cool when I was a kid. Now I just think he's been so over-done he just doesn't have that ominous feel that made him so neat/scary. Yeah, he can force choke some dude just by watching him on a veiw screen, but he's also appeared as a Mr. Potato Head. I'm glad he's not been a Minimate. Bob Harris
I used to think groundhog7 was cool when I was a kid. Now he distracts me with his real life pic looking a little younger than I thougt and after that, now he just looks like what I thought NorthRaider would look like, if she'd be in a Studio Ghibli movie. And after all, I don't even know if groundhog7 really is a he and if he also appeared as a Mr. Potato Head. I'm glad he's not been a Minimate. karamazov80
Ma Hunkel ....Ma bloody Hunkel ....WTF is that all about. Now I liked DC 'Mates with a passion but ....WTF is all that about Seriously. I'm guessing this was one of the obscure, wacky favorites of someone making the decisions at the time (maybe the same guy at AA who decided on doing Gamorra and Cloak and Dagger), but c'mon! Hourman, Mid-Nite, Sandman, Mr. Terrific, Starman, Alan Scott, or any number of other golden age JSAers would have moved loads more sets than she did. groundhog7s
Even her granddaughter or whoever it was that took over would have been a better choice. But instead, we got ma Hunkel, but no Alan Scott.
