Twisted Two-Face
Looks like the Evil Pirate spent some time in Jotunheim. What a great boxset, i love that they still look like individual characters rather than a generic guy; that Good Pirate is going to be my main go-to instead of Calico (when he arrives) and the Naval Officer is incredible. The Skeleton sells the set though, he looks fantastic. Definitely picking up two or 3 of these.

Turtle
That skeleton is the bee's knees. AWESOME! Word. This is one nice looking set. I wonder if this British Officer will be different from the one that comes with the ship.
blacksun1520
Damnit... now I have to spend more money! WTH  And I also have to say that the skeleton is aaaaaawesuuuuuum!
Lobsterman
Aaahhhh, so that's how Morg's hair works. I was wondering if it would be permanently attached to his head. Very nice looking set.
Turtle
Good eye there, Lobsterman. That's a pretty creative way to deal with that. Does anyone else think of Patrick Stewart's Gurney Halleck from Dune when they see that hair piece?
boyd
Oh, that's nice. Love the skeleton. Actually, I love them all. Can anyone identify the chest straps on the British Officer?
storm 1:08
Hopefully these get a 2-pack TRU release. I just want the skeleton and British Naval officer. And I like that the skeleton pirate can just be stripped into just a regular skeleton dude.
MiniFiend UK
Impressed again with the pirate line A+ for this one (I hope one day they try an do a Jack Sparrow style pirate) The key piece for me is the skeletons hat. At last a piece that could be used with a little messing about as a hat for a Spirit of 76 custom.

blacksun1520
Oh, that's nice. Love the skeleton. Actually, I love them all. Can anyone identify the chest straps on the British Officer? I'm pretty sure that's a new sculpt.
stack32
Love the skeleton, also love that the swords look to be a little more realistic than the ones in the TRU wave.
Smashmaster12
Oh, that's nice. Love the skeleton. Actually, I love them all. Can anyone identify the chest straps on the British Officer? Looks like Chloe Frazer from Uncharted's Shoulder Holster flipped backwards.
buttheadsmate
Can anyone identify the chest straps on the British Officer? The 'chest' straps are generally known as cross belts & as far as I know were never worn by Royal Naval officers ,they were onlyworn by Royal Marine enlisted men -boringheadsmate If there is anybody here that isn't sold on these CJ'mates yet....... try'em because they're a lot of fun. Turtle
The red uniform is another sign that this is a marine, right? Didn't the marines wear red and the navy blue? And I promise I won't make any jokes about your extensive knowledge of sea men.
youbastards
There is a blog article posted about these, referring to them as the first ever "Navy Builder" boxset! Edited September 26, 2011 by youbastards
Mystery Man
I'll be getting at least 5 of these. AWESOME!
Turtle
On FB today it was revealed that McBeardy aka Beardy Mc is "The Navigator" and the McMapchest twins Tatty and Glowy are "The Cartographer." I love these pirates.
MINI_MYTE
So I picked up the collector case with the glow-in-the-dark Mapchest / Cartographer pirate raider. Here's the rundown on him. Gone is the translucent green plastic from the prototype and replaced with the typical GITD plastic used with CFTBL , Slimer and Stay Puft. Also gone is the flared boot and replaced with another bare foot (looks better this way IMO). The face and chest tampos are still there and the map continues onto his back with a dotted line, a treasure chest, waves and a palm tree. That is all.
Turtle
A new Calico Jack Minimation is up, and it's cool. The only way it could be better is if it were Saturday morning, I were still in my pajamas, and I were seven again. Very fun. Danny
That is superb. I like the fact that it's stop-motion. LEGO have been doing this kind of animation thing with their lines for years so it's nice to see DST try it with Calico Jack and the MAX lines. karamazov80
That video is excellent. More clean and professional than I expected. Not that I think DST isn't capable of producing something like that, I'm just surprised they would devote the level of care and attention to it that they did. Fujis
I loved it! Very well done, hope they do more episodes. Too bad the actual ships aren't as big as they looked in the video!
