NorthRaider
and a Mexican with poncho and sombrero. I just couldn't resist.
Nervous Rex
Yeah Cap, they were not very articulated, but the accessories were so varied that I would hate to be a collector. I had tons of the figures and accessories and I am sure I had a small fraction of what was released. If I were to start developing MAX sets, I would first look at Adventure People and GI Joe/Action Man/Adventure Team. That stuff is/was awesome. I'm onboard with that Shane... and adventure people were the best! i tried cleaning up some old ones i had for my son, but they were just to beat up from me and my brother. the motorcycles and the t.v. van, the safari truck, the dune buggy were all winners! oh and the cool tents and scuba gear, man i can go on and on how cool they were... and very well built. I've tried to bid on some ebay auctions in the last year, but keep getting outbid good, solid, fun!
murderofcrows
I have given this alot of thought, and really feel that DST in house designers should follow the model Hasbro did when it relaunched GI Joe and create a "bad guy" for the soldiers and cops to battle, and minimate "cobra" if you will.... I mean that already have an in house design team (pirates have shown they are pretty creative). They have a TON of molds, and accessories. Nothing would make me happier than to see a MAX line of really off the wall bad guys, with some creativity. discuss moc847
TM2 Dinobot
That's kinda what I was waiting for in my MAX customs thread. If you noticed (I'm not sure anyone did) there was kinda a hole there where the anti-Max, or X.A.M if you will, needs to fill. But with our luck DST will just drive this line into the ground with more firefighters, no back story and no bad guys. Firefighters are the Snake Eyes of the M.A.X. universe. The 12" GI Joe from teh 60's & 70's are some of my favorites, when it comes to outstanding attention to detail on accessories. I don't know if you've seen one of the vintage books that talked about foxholes and camp setup, but those were great.
youbastards
All of the suggestions are good candidates, but I think for this line to take off with kids (the target demographic, right?), they need a 'Cobra' to the M.A.X. 'G.I. Joe'. There needs to be SOMETHING to generate cause for X-treme Mobile Action!!! Oh, and pimps/prostitutes for the Law Enforcers to bust! Just teasing a little something I've been working on...
