Hallo, schön hier zu sein!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

It isn't that long ago when I said this. ;)

Well, welcome to the 'verse! As a long time lurker you probably already know that this is a great place to be! Two things I'd like to know are where are your from and where do you get your minimate-kicks in Deutschland?

So I really am the second german member on here?

I live in Wesel, NRW, where are you from?

I started getting them from a comic shop in Moers, they ordered whole cases for me as I was the only customer interessted in Minimates. Since then I have gotten a few Previews Exclusive ones from Sammlerecke, which is a great comic shop that sends me my comics every month. But since DST started releasing store exclusives that will never make it to Previews or Europe at all, I started ordering with Luke, whos prices and shipping costs can not be beat.

My interest in minimates weakened(sp?) somewhat around wave 15, and I only got back to collecting and catching up in the last 6 month, when I saw the flood of awesome stuff DST is releasing now.

I hope I can score some nice cheap ones I am missing when I am on vacation in the states in September.

On that note, anyone know of a good place to score some minimates in San Fran, LA, Vegas, NY, Miami???

Hello! Well it's time again for the T42 MOVIE CHALLENGE! I quote a movie, you name it.

Your quote:

"Please let me in."

Some porn movie??

As far from it as you can get. This is from Up!

Welcome again, and good try at the T42 MOVIE CHALLENGE!

That would have been my second guess.

Thanks for welcoming me!

Haven't heared of Sammlerecke, but I'll check it out. I know that X-Comics are selling 'mates, even newer ones, but Luke's the place to be, no question! And I'm from Kassel.

I was living in New York last summer and fall and you won't have any problems to get your 'mates there! There's a huge TRU at Times Square and several comic shops that offer all you need.

I know of X-Comic, even ordered one or two mates from them some time ago. I did not realise that they have any of the new ones, was really surprised when I clicked on the link. They have a lot of mates I am still missing.

Sammlerecke does not have any mates in stock but they will order everything from Previews for you, but I am sure X-Comics will do the same.

Times Square TRU was on my list already. Any other cool comic related thing tipps for NY?

I'm sure there are other NY residents in our multiverse who might help you out with some hints on comic shops and stuff, but I can recommend the following five places I checked for cool stuff pretty often during my time there. They're all located in Lower Manhattan and pretty easy to find: Forbidden Planet (maybe the best comic shop, but not necessarily 'mate-wise), Midtown Comics (great place and they have a huge selection of 'mates) Jim Hanley's Universe (the oldest comic shop in Manhattan, wonderful place with a small selection of 'mates), St. Mark's (pretty good selection on older and sometimes used toys, and also a lot 'mates) and Cosmic Comics (a small shop and unforunatelly a little more expensive than the other ones, but they are more unknown and therefore still carried a few of the w28 Deadpools while other stores were already sold out on him for weeks). There's also Toy Tokio, a weired, WEIRED place especially with asian toys - you'll get a lot of Kubricks and stuff there and just little 'mates (they only carried the Ghostbusters 4-packs back then), but you'll get a kick just walking through the aisles.

Hope that helps.

Great thanks, will check those out.
