buttheadsmate
I have had problems with certain minimates with paint-rub & it is generally the head but I don't think it is unique to any particular 'mate . Inks used in any print process are susceptible to any form of oil & the sebum in the skin of your hands (for example)would in certain circumstances be enough to partially degrade the ink on a minimate . I AM NOT SAYING that this is highly likely & IS MOST UNLIKELY but it can happen with inks that rely on evaporation of solvent rather than absorption of solvent into the material to dry . TM2 Dinobot
I've had a problem lately (the last 2 years or so) with my mates being oily. That never used to happen. I don't know what's going on with it. But maybe if the tampo was placed on top of the oil it would slide right off.

monkeycrumb
Just saw this on http://www.comicsalliance.com/. Thank Good King Wenceslas I've got minimate Monsters! http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/01/24/lego-avengers-lord-of-the-rings-universal-monsters/ They are not Universal branded monsters. They are generic, public domain monsters. Its for a line called Monster Hunters.
Prowlar
I hope that wolf man/werewolf ends up in one of the smaller sets because that head looks over sized enough to be used to make a much more feral New Mutants Wolfsbane.
Punisher
There will be a third wave! from this link as well as Minimates based on The Mummy and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which are part of the Universal Monsters line of figures. Twisted Two-Face
YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Okay, now i'm pumped for Toy Fair. Wanted this set since, what, 2009? 10?? SO HAPPY, thatnks DST and Zach!!!!!!
Punisher
I'm REALLY hoping we don't lose the sarcophagus. I will gladly give up a 4th character if it must take a minimate spot.
boyd
Glad to get confirmation that we'll get another wave. And Punisher, according to the article, the box set will come with the sarcophagus. And Hunchback is an interesting choice for the second set - have they done anything (8" figure, statue) with Hunchback before? Why not the Invisible Man or the Phantom of the Opera? groundhog7s
Not to be a downer, but product shown at Toy Fair isn't a guarentee. It's there to get retailers to be interested in the product so it will happen. I feel like these will make it, but I don't take the showing of these as a fact that they're an absolute. I remember the Ghost Rider wave, the Beverly Hills Cop set, the Godfather set... But the fact that they're finally talking about a new wave gives me at least 60% confidence that I'll see these in store. I won't be 100% until I'm holding them in my hands. I also thought it was odd that Hunchback got a slot before Invisible Man or Phantom. I would have preferred either of those to Hunchback honestly. Mystery Man
Just came over here to chime in with what I just read elsewhere. Yay Mummy and Hunchback! So maybe next year (ugh, the WAIT!) will give us the Phantom of the Opera and the Invisible Man. Surprised we aren't getting the latter this year, actually. MINI_MYTE
I wonder what happened to the guy in the tuxedo that was always shown with the Mummy set at previous shows? There was the Mummy, his sarcophagus, princess what's her face and the tuxedo guy (I'm assuming the hero of the film). I wonder why the switch with the Helen Grosvenor minimate? dj87
Horrah! Mummy looks marv. I'm worried that the monster, two biatches and someone/something will be a hard sell. When we saw the protos before, wasn't there a gold mummy as well as the tux guy?
DarkRedShadow
I will definitely be picking up the black and white set, hopefully the mummy will have his sarcophagus there too!
tones
so happy to hear that these are still on the table. i think the longevity of the line is the reason for the much requested Mummy mates being paired with the "out of nowhere" (at least I don't remember hearing anything about it previously) Hunchback mates. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to them both very much. But I think that pairing the Invisible Man and the Phantom of the Opera will help these get picked up next year as opposed to an alternate mix, say Hunchback and Phantom. that pairing might not fly with TRU next year. But we've all been drooling over the Mummy mates for so long you know those will do well and help move the Hunchback too. If you had to put these in order of strength of popularity and "cool factor", IMO it would have to be The Mummy, Invisible Man (expecting a clear Invisible Man mate here ), Phantom, and Hunchback (sight unseen of course) which is probably how I'd rank the movies as well. That said, the smart thing to do is pair #1 with #4 and #2 is with #3 by default. I think that makes sense...or am I rambling again? but yeah, the year long wait is excruciating! tones
is the Tuxedo guy the one with the fez? i need that, fez's are cool
Twisted Two-Face
Tuxedo guy did not have a fez (though nice Matt Smith plug). Quite happy if he ends up in the TRU wave; tuxedos for everybody!! That, and this may be the best Monsters "female lead" they've done yet, Something about a women in red, i tell ya... Mystery Man
As a fan of these films from childhood, I'm looking forward to seeing what one or two "new" characters will appear with the hopefully-corresponding TRU waves... AND what 4 characters they cook up for the Hunchback set.
monkeycrumb
Ardeth Bey (guy with the Fez) MUST be in the TRU wave! If there's no Ardeth Bey, I will be sorely disappointed!!
Rheul
I was hoping for The Invisible Man this year but Tones logic rings true. Phantom/Invs Man 2 pack sounds better than the other combos.
