Wacky. And ingenious.

Oh, and Galileo interior shot!

(The Father's Day mates do bring up some fridge logic about the varying scales though...)

Okay, how the frak am I going to be able to take a decent DB photo of Stilt Man?! :D

This is why prototypes always get so beat up. Different angle on what was hiding behind the Bird of Prey.

I have a feeling we'll never actually see that Shuttlecraft but that doesn't stop me from hoping.

Father's Day Box Set? With a new scale? What is that, about 1.25"? The smiles on the small ones are really creeping me out.

Now how do I get my hands on the giveaway? :D

Those Father's Day figures freak me out a bit. Also, in what little I can see of it, that future Terminator guy definitely looks like Kyle Reese.

Sorry for the quick pics - I haven't had a chance to de-bag him yet, and we're about to crash after getting up at 4:30 for this morning's LEGO event.

No real clue about the Father's Day sets from the pics (my fault for not asking more questions, but DST had an insanely huge amount of stuff to take photos of, and I was busy trying to keep the camera from overheating)...it looks like they'll be special two-packs of some sort featuring a father and child taking part in an activity together. Hard to say exactly what articulation the kid 'mates will have when they're produced, since these ones were extremely prototypey.

Thanks that confirms that the kids are smaller than 2" scale not the parents being 2.5"

Once again thanks.... we at MMV really appreciate you posting... Now go sleep!!!

"Battle Beasts: the roar rages on." Awesome, he's so shiny and official looking. It's like they're officially a part of the family now. :) Of course, the apparent lack of rub signs might not endear us to the old guard by now.

And wait, I'm confused: Are the dad figures in the Father's Day sets 2.5 inches or are the kids really in some insane new scale smaller than 2 inches that DST just invented???

So, slightly over 1 inch Minimates? Insane.

Great minds must think alike :D

That is just INSANE. Thanks again ASMDaniel!

So how long do you think 'til we see them make their way into the rest of the lines? And who can we expect out of these? Franklin and Val Richards? Puck? A slightly-more proper Wasp and/or Ant Man?

Folks... Also...

Take a peek at the bag of parts behind the Bird of prey in this image

Is that a set of Movie-esq IM legs with silver paint on them?

Thoughts?

T.

p.s. I bet DST gets that image pulled before the show is over...

:wallbash:

I am 99% sure that Stilt man is an exagerated custom. I think I found his ACTUAL legs behind the display. Could be wrong. Also, love the no picture sign in the picture. :P

I think those gray things are the REAL Stilt Man legs.

Or he gets the small pair and uber-unbalancing pair. ;)

The kids are a tiny, tiny new scale. Honestly, I'd bet on maybe neck and shoulder articulation, with the rest just sculpted detail. Hips if we're very lucky.

One note on the vehicles for the non-licensed sets -- they're designed to be semi-modular. That jet pack is actually formed from popping the wings and the center connector off the double-cockpit jet and pegging them together. It looked neat.

Now sleep!

Crud, now they have to have a John Conner/T-800 Father's Day set!

Did I miss that somewhere?

ASM, I have a question. Can you try and find out what exactly is included in those Heroes sets? Is if just the 5 Minimates or the vehicles as well? Of course, this goes without saying, after you get some sleep. ;)

Oh no, just thinking out loud. This is probably not the right time to add things to my wishlist though. ;)

I'm looking at those Universal Monsters pictures again and feeling some kind of plastic high. Dracula is a tad duller than the rest, but that could easily be rectified if he had an alternate expression baring his fangs.

Mandatory moment of fanboy griping: ALL of those plain jane Ghostbusters and still no GB1 Janine :(

Otherwise: lotta cool stuff! Glad Marty has the full radiation mask, and I'm liking the Delorean more and more. Not sure how much of the kids line I'm interested in, but it's a cool direction for the brand. The mini-Minimates totally weird me out. And the new Battle Beasts logo/slogan suggests they're definitely doing something with the license in the not-too-distant, which is great!

Thanks for the pix ASMDaniel! Much clearer than some of the other sites.
