eddie h
Anyone else here dying to get Ultimate versions of Hawkeye? Wasp? Hank Pym? Maybe Pyro from Ultimates 3? Or the new Red Skull design? I just read Ultimate Avengers #1 and just reread Ultimates 3 and can not get enough! I think the design for Ultimate Hawkeye from Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum is just one of the most bad@ss designs ever! Who is with me?
Trekker 42
Man I loved Ultimate Avengers #1. Red Skull looks like he'll be a fun villain for a bit. I'm looking forward to the black ops story they do as 6-12. Yeah I'd love an Ultimate Red Skull. But first, finish the classic Ultimates with Hawkeye, Pym, Janet, Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver. And gimme a Chitauri! Then some minorer villains after that. NorthRaider
Holy cow, they made Ultimate Red Skull a skinhead?! Kinda makes sense when you think about it, but still Though I have to agree that Ultimate Hawkeye is bad-ass.

Looks painted on... Nice. I like it.
Turtle
I'm glad Millar is back on the Ultimates. I look forward to reading this. Skull looks cool to boot. I seem to be in the minority as far as Hawkeye is concerned. I think his new costume looks too much like it was time warped in from the 90's when the opened-top-mask was cool. I much prefer his older look. Ah well. Diff'rent strokes

And yeah, in the first two pages Millar tells us what he thought about Loeb's run. It's hilarious. Fury: "What the %@*$? I disappear for 10 minutes and the whole place goes to hell." I couldn't care less what actually happened in Ultimates 3 I was just happy to see Joe Madureira doing comics again. Mind you I loved Millar's story I just didn't care what was going on with 3's story I just love Madureira's art. So I actually like the costume changes he made, but it didn't fit the feel of what came before.
SouthFLGuy
just as long as we don't get anything involved with Ultimates 3 or Ultimatium.
Pete
I hope we one day see a Ultimate Yellow Jacket Minimate, by far my favorite new costume design in recent years!
darkknighthero15
If one were to make a custom Ultimate Hawkeye, they could use a series 17 New Goblin, at least maskwise. i'd kill to see that
616commando
Ult. Red Skull/Hawkeye is a two pack I would do some pretty nasty things to get. Here's a better pic of Red Skull pic Edited August 14, 2009 by 616commando
buttheadsmate
Holy cow, they made Ultimate Red Skull a skinhead?! Kinda makes sense when you think about it, but still When you consider that a skull is actually a head devoid of flesh & skin then a skinless-head would be a far more appropriate description of the Red Skull.... but 'that' Red Skull is totally brilliant . Even though I am new to the Ultimate genre I am thoroughly enjoying the early Ultimate Avengers TPBs after many initial "What the FOOM?"* moments. *as the very oldest Marvel fan here I chose the word FOOM very carefully
Rad
BHM, if you're new to the Ultimate stuff then give Ultimate Spider-Man a go. One of the best marvel books out there.

I think Hawkeyes new Ultimates look is a bet too superhero. I liked it better when he had his old "black ops" look.

Trekker 42
BHM, if you're new to the Ultimate stuff then give Ultimate Spider-Man a go. One of the best marvel books out there. I second this. And certainly one of the most consistent books. Same writer for it's entire run. And as Bendis has talent, I have to say that he manages to give quite the story throughout. Anyone else loving Ultimate Mysterio? He already beat out regular Mysterio in awesome and as of right now, I'd have to say he's the best surving Ultimate villain on the block. (YOu know, because Magneto was killed. If he was alive, Mysterio would be second.) Have to say, he's at least one of the bigger pains in the ass Spidey has fought yet. And if you're not sure what I'm talking about and that he just showed up once, read the third annual. He first appears there. Good read. Turtle
I haven't read much of Ultimate Spiderman, but what I have read has been kind of mixed. The pacing, action, and story are there, but there's just something off about the dialogue, almost like it is trying too hard to be witty, cool, and campy all at the same time. But it's all easily been worth the price of admission. First off Ultimate Hawkeye is the biggest bad ass ever. Fingernails. FINGERNAILS! I think biggest bas ass ever might be an understatement. Twisted Two-Face
God, I hope if we get Hawkeye that it's the new costume. I HATE the first one... I agree; i hate the old one but REALLY like the new design. The whole "Bullseye-ish" theme it's got just appeals to me more than just "black ops" archer... And i officially love Ult. Red Skull; sure, i read Wizard a few months ago and knew who he was, but that last page/panel was just epic. "He said he's my son..." Cap's face just tied it all together. buttheadsmate
BHM, if you're new to the Ultimate stuff then give Ultimate Spider-Man a go. One of the best marvel books out there. Gotcha! I'll look for those next. The obvious 'secret' with Ultimate stuff is obviously to just forget all your previous conceptions about 'what you thought you knew about the Marvel universe' & just ....enjoy! I suppose the most realistic scenarios are where people die esp. when the Hulk is rampaging etc., in the old world of marvel I grew up with ( ?) nobody ever got hurt....or rarely got hurt. Fights happen....people get hurt! slight derail: I finally got to see the last Indiana Jones movie this week ( ) & I thoroughly enjoyed it but there was an early scene in a campus cafe where Jones & son were involved in a brawl . In a movie where violence was everywhere from the beginning to the end the scene with the brawl was actually disturbing for me. If you have ever seen the results of a glass/bottle being smashed into someone's face you too would find it disturbing. I know its just a movie but its weird that I can stomach dozens of simulated deaths in a tongue-in-cheek action movie but the sight of college-kids 'acting' bashing glasses into each other seemed badly wrong??
