UK Collector
2 sideshow spooktacular codes up, both worth $5 each. L3T314 FR33PO1NT
Shanester
I've only gotten one code to work so far. Not sure what my problem is.
karamazov80
Only one has stayed up for any notable length of time from what I've seen (the FR33 one). The other one UK posted came up in the middle of the night and expired at 7 in the morning I think. Spooktacular has some nice deals, primarily on old Hot Toys stock they can't move. But nothing to make me buy yet. Factoring in reward points you can get some figures for around $120 or so. The Flint/Zartan statue is a great deal, but I already have it. UK Collector
I had an issue adding them to my rewards when I logged on. The key is to enter them on the spooktacular home screen, and it then saves to your account for you. New code: US3FAST I really like the Rocky statue. My dad lives in Philly, and I always get a kick out of seeing that statue when I visit. If I can get enough codes, I reckon I will pick one up. A bit gutted I got all of the Man of Steel figures already, as some of the deals on them are terrific. I also ordered the Amazing Spider-man from the first movie. karamazov80
Today the Man of Steel figure itself is around $140 plus $18 in rewards points with free shipping. I feel for you!
UK Collector
Tempted to pick up another Spidey, and commission someone to battle damage it for me. Problem is my first two choices rejected my advances.
UK Collector
I have 2 different 30% off codes that expire in the next 24 hours, but I can't find any items on sideshows site that are eligible. Any way I can tell?
karamazov80
Where did you get them from? There are certain items that are typically eligible for more discounts than others, that you can see here: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/promotions/collectibles-on-sale/
Zexion_Armando
If you go to your acount stuff, and look at the codes you have saved, it can show you what they are good for.
UK Collector
Ah! The problem was that I was looking on my phone. When I went to my discounts I could see 'view items' and it wouldn't let me scroll right. When I turned the screen on its side I could see the button. Most of it is worthless tbh, I wouldn't want it if it was 75% off. Thanks for the pointers guys!
UK Collector
Eepers!!!!
karamazov80
Yeah, could be cool, but I'm not too keen on humans from SSC anymore, despite the fact that sculpts are often better than Hot Toys. On another note, SSC X-Wing pilot Luke went up for pre-order today. . .$2--4--0 For a bare bones human figure with very few accessories, from Sideshow no less. Insanity. UK Collector
Ridiculous price. I was interested in that Luke, but will wait to see what HT come up with. Hoping for Jedi Luke. The prices on theses things just keep on creeping up and up....and that's before we get the 'UK premium' of shipping and importing.
Shanester
No way am I paying that for Luke. Stormtroopers, ordered...
karamazov80
Did you get the two-pack, or do you plan on getting multiples of the same size Shane?
Shanester
2 pack. I will probably buy another two pack off a retailer if they get discounted any. I think $400 is high, but I gotta do it. After looking at the SSC Stormies for the last several years, I need these.
karamazov80
I've actually been pretty content with my existing SSC Stormie, but may switch him out at some point. Should've sold this guy a month or two back, I guess!
Shanester
Yeah, I had three at one point, two EXs. I only have one now and I plan to keep him. I like the SSC Stormtrooper, but recognize the issues with accuracy. I am not as much of a stickler as most guys, it seems. I didn't even realize Vader and Stormtroopers were different from film to film, until I started checking out mesage boards. For all the haters, I think the SSC Vaders are great. Maybe just a tad tall, but great.
karamazov80
I also didn't know about the difference between Vaders! Also, I'm totally content with my original SSC Vader figure, which I sure would horrify many!
Shanester
I also didn't know about the difference between Vaders! Also, I'm totally content with my original SSC Vader figure, which I sure would horrify many! Not me pal. I totally get it. I bough the second one for the base and light up stuff, which I never use. Both are displayed without a single mod.
UK Collector
Sideshow Vader always looks great to me. And I like that he is a bit taller, would make him look imposing next to other figures.
warburger
In a tag match with 6 months preparation, I think the Marvel duo takes this. Personally, I think any team iteration with Tony will win. IM-Hulk: Two geniuses. Brains and Brawn. IM-Superman: Both flyers. IM-Batman: Their coolness cannot be contained. The futurist and world's greatest detective.
Mysterious Stranger
I received my IM3 Heartbreaker Armor yesterday. I have to say I think this is my new favorite armor so far. It is the same style as the other movie armors but is just different enough to look truly unique.Something about it just speaks to me. luke314pi
Yeah that one was very tempting. I am excited for the upcoming 12th Doctor figure from Big Chief Studios:
Twisted Two-Face
Wow, definitely glad I held off on the Regen Twelfth. That head is ridiculously impressive; that's 100% Capaldi. Gonna be very hard to pass that up.
