Oooooo I love making lists, especially when I can give long-winded answers. :)

Video Games:

5. Dragon Warrior (NES). When I was eight years old I got my first issue of Nintendo Power. It had a special mini-magazine devoted completely to an RPG called Dragon Warrior. I had never played an RPG before, and the possibility of choosing between dozens of types of weapons and armor sent my head swimming in pre-geek bliss.

4. Tetris. I think my TI-86 is what got me through high school with my sanity intact. I sat through many classes with my calculator sitting just below the rim of my textbook playing one game or another. Most of the time it was Tetris.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64). My wife and I played this entire game together when we were 17 years old and just dating. Playing video games is one of the ways we connected while we were getting to know each other.

2. Super Smash Bros Melee. After my wife qand I got married in 2003 and moved into our house we started having video game parties every Saturday night and played hundreds of hours of Smash Bros. My wife only played as Peach, and she could easily beat any guy in the room (myself included). The looks on the other guys’ faces after being brutally beaten by a girl were priceless.

1. Super Mario World (SNES). When I was a kid I spent eight months mowing lawns, doing chores, and babysitting screaming children to earn enough money to buy a Super Nintendo with Super Mario World. The system was a product of my blood, sweat, and tears, and I felt a real sense of ownership over it. I love all the Mario games, but I think that is the reason this one is my favorite.

Movies (No long-winded answers here):

5. Dead Poet's Society

4. The Empire Strikes Back

3. The Fellowship of the Ring

2. Spider-Man 2

1. The Incredibles

5. Super Mario Bros.

Movies

1. The Dark Knight

2. Raiders of the Lost Ark

3. The Empire Strikes Back

4. The Prestige (Yes, it may seem kinda random, but it was a masterpiece)

Yes, I love making lists!?!?! But like karamozov, my list probably changes on a daily basis. There are just so many great games and movies, but I'll play along anyway!

Top 5 Games

5. Madden <Current Year>

4. LEGO Star Wars

3. WWF No Mercy

2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

1. Super Mario Bros 3

Top 5 Moves

5. Iron Man

4. Wall E

3. Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

2. Return of the King

1. E.T.

However, I have to say that there are too many movies to make a top 5! Movies like Citizen Kane, Shawshank Redemption, Iron Man, The Presige, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Ternimal, In Good Company, Titanic, The Incredibles, Toy Story 2, Spider-Man 2, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Jerry Maguire, well......you get the point. neo

3. WWF No Mercy

Great choice! For several years, me and one buddy of mine played the hell out of every N64 wrestling game there was--WCW vs. NWO: World Tour (we created the "whiskey championship" in this game, where Savage, DDP, and Scott Hall would have the most vicious matches in the history of video games over the prize of a bottle of whiskey), Wrestlemania 2000, WCW/NWO Revenge, and the one that you mention. I think that No Mercy was the best, because it had the greatest "oh sh1t!" moment in video game history for us. We are playing through a Royal Rumble match, nothing special, then who should be running into the ring? Mae Young!! Wearing a night gown, no less! Moolah ended up being an unlockable character, as well. Those games were only rivaled by WWF RAW for the Super Nintendo.

Yeah, I've never been a huge Fighting game, and I've never liked the Smackdown series. But I can't tell you how many hours in college (or classes I missed) thanks to No Mercy (and Wrestlemainia too, lol).

We actually made our own belts and had Friday Night Cards for the fights. The winners got to be champ for the week and then had to defend their titles the following Friday. It was some of the best Multi-Player gaming I've ever had! neo

  • 1 month later...

To the Nintendo Wii, I love Guitar Hero (all) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Xbox, I love Halo... it's fun to go up behind something and shoot them in the pack of the head.

Playstation, my first rock Band experience. Loved the game, especially the drums.

Anyone like Grand Theft Auto? I love that game, too bad my mom won't let me get it. I played it before and she knows, so why can't I get it? :(:pinch:

Let's face it, we're all a little bit "special" in one way or another :turned: My favorite game is Quake 4 or 3, I forget which one, but it's on the 360 and I picked it up on the cheap. Real interesting story and a few plot twists down the line. I also enjoy Hitman for whatever reason, but I've been a bit lacking on playing anything lately. Work has been beating my time up and all I've had time for is watching Batman Beyond and now Justice League on my 360
