I had a lot of the figure factory sets at one time, (though I was never able to find Storm, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, or Daredevil). I picked up most of them on deep Christmas clearance so rarer ones were too pricey in comparison to track down.

I posted these pics a while back...

Anybody have any comparrison pics of Ertl's 1:21 Ecto-1? I'm curious to see how well a 1:21 would fit with minimates (seing as how 1:18 is a bit too big, and 1:24 is almost perfect).

Also, any good accessories you guys can think of for the Chef Duff minimate? I'm looking for a kitchen to put him in.

I've got a bunch of stuff on order from a store called Larry G Scale for a big customizing project.

1:24 (or thereabouts) seems to work well with Minimates and I'll throw up some pics when my stuff arrives.

Any chance you've got some pics of these bro? I am looking at some of it and hoping it looks good with the mates

I'm hoping to spend some time customizing this weekend so I'll see if I can get some pics up. Everything that I ordered looks good scale-wise.

I have the Ertl Ecto-1 & I have mixed-results. A Minimate sits perfectly well behind the steering-wheel & sits comfortably in the driver's seat & looks the part. The only problem is that when the Minimate is standing next to the Ecto-1 ,the Ecto-1 looks disproportionately large ......huge. With a kubrick standing next to it, the Ecto-1 looks perfectly proportioned but kubricks have no knees & therefore cannot sit....anywhere

If you want some pictures I'll sort it but remember my photography is a bit hit or miss .

I got a 2" Green Goblin(I got lucky on my first try because it's 1:8) in one of those toy vending machines at Safeway, here's a picture of the glider:

I didn't cut off the tabs so that you all know what it looks like. Here are some on eBay:

I NEED that Batcycle.
Haha, I just got it today :P. I'm trying to take off Robin's side-car, but my screw drivers are too big or too small!

Very cute. What company made that Bat-cycle?
Hot Wheels. I managed to take off the side car!

Now Bats doesn't have to deal with the extra weight ;)

FYI, the other day I bought some cheapo "Made in China" block sets at our local toy store. And I mean REAL cheap, two sets cost me just around six dollars.

Of course, you get what you for. The blocks aren't even compatible with Minimate C3 feet, meaning they won't fit with regular C3, Lego, or Megablocks. And the "people" they come with are fairly blatant Lego minifig rip-offs. Oh well, at least they make for fairly interesting-looking environment sets.

I'll maybe post some pics within the week.

I often find myself searching through old posts on the boards here, trying to find out if anyone had discovered whether a certain accessory, stand, or vehicle is compatible with Minimates or not. So, I thought it might make some sense to pool together all relevant links to threads and other web pages in one place, as a resource for those of us looking for vehicles, dioramas, accessories, stands, etc. that are compatible with Minimates.

Here are the links that I have found which have dealt with specific compatibility inquiries:

vehicles:

-other vehicle note: Minimates fit in Transformers Alternators rather well. I have tried Hound and Tracks, and the only real problem is with the front seat. The steering wheel gets in the way and has to be moved around a bit, and feet have to be taken off in Tracks. The scale is really good, however:

edit:

And here is a cool patriotic motorcycle that I picked up tonight at the dollar store for my favorite mini-soldier, from some cheap-o brand called "Chopperz":

I'm sure that I am missing some relevant links (particularly since I've only searched through the "Crisis on Infinite Minimates" section for the threads linked here), so if someone knows of or finds other links, please post them here.

I live in Orlando, FL, where I recently found inexpensive plastic toy vehicles that are compatible in scale with Minimates:

(Please note: some of this information was already posted, but I have added some info I just got today)

Dollar General sells a $3.00 "bobcat" style "no-cab" bulldozer that seats 1 figure as well as some $1.50 boats

WalMart offers land vehicles, aircraft, and watercarft that can seat various sizes of figures, including Minimates, ranging in price from $1.68 to $2.99

Walgreens Pharmacies offer small plastic "cigarette-style" boats that can seat several Minimates; they usally cost $1.99 each, but this week, you can get 3 for the price of 2, $3.98. In late summer, the price has dropped to $1.49 to clear the inventory for the fall toys. They also have other types of watercraft at the same prices that would work as well.

Toys R Us has $2.99 plastic boaths that can seat several Minimates each, butthey appear to be more suitable for the older 3" scale than the current 2" scale

In all of these cases, the vehicles tend to be very simple, with a single-color top over a white body; you can try to customize them with decals and/or paint that works on plastic.

I was browsing a local Asian Dollar store, and found a $5.00 "Concept car" that has lights, sounds, and "morphs" into a larger vehicle. I got the last one in stock for $3.00, and it seats Minimates fairly easily.

Final verdict: so-so scale, quality as lousy as you can hope for at the price. Engineering at times just about as bad (if not worse) as on the old C3 Batcave. Most unfun two hours of my life yet.

Assembled sets (with She-Hulk and Quicksilver in pics for scale purposes)

REALLY a shame these stupid blocks weren't C3-compatible

An odd bonus: Lookie what these sets came with!

If only these display cases weren't so damn expensive, I'd be all over them. And I love the product name "Geek Box"

BS

If you could find a mirror at a standard size to fit into a shadow box, along with glass shelves at that same standard size, you could probably build this yourself for around $75. It does look nice. I might start looking for parts, just to see if its possible.

Luke, you think if this works it could be featured on the 'Factory' ?? ;)

Let me share a few happy discoveries my boys and I have made with minimates and accessories. Keep in mind, we are looking more for playsets than display pieces.

Old Imaginext sets look great with minimates. Not the stuff you can find in stores now, they've slowly scaled up the last few years. But the stuff they made when the line was new works wondewrfully well. The figures are off, and just look weird combined with mates. (kids don't mind, but it drives Dad nuts) They had a series early on that consisted mostly of Cops, firemen, and construction crews. We have most of the cop stuff, including the jailhouse. Works wonderfully, and gives us a place to put the bad guys after a beat down. The handcuffs even work, better even than the bat-cuffs! The Imaginext Dinosaurs look pretty good, if gawdily colored, scale wise. Every superhero has to fight Dinosaurs at some point, right? The Imaginext you want is the sets where you could take apart and rebuild the playsets. Plenty of it to be found on Ebay.

Also, this is just one of those happy acident kind of things, but the Justice League Watchtower works MUCH better as a base for the DC mates than it does with the much larger JL/JLU toys it was actually designed for. Sure they're a little short for the elevator, but that thing jams if you look at it funny anyway. If you happen to have one, try it out.
