Teris Tone
Well I got my wave 19-20 from AFX today. I was fiddling around with the foam peanuts, and nibbling on them with my lips (don't ask why I was bored). Well I noticed something odd about the foam when it got a little wet. It began to melt. Seem like AFX are using some environmentally dissolvable foam peanuts. Oh yeah ended up getting an extra hawkeye and apocalypse and one extra armor spiderman, PM if you want to trade something for it.

Reideen1313
Yep Dbrn316 is exactly right. Most people don't know this, but the new environmentally correct packing foam is edible. They're made of starch. Don't try to eat the pink or bright white colored packing - those'll still make you sick. The tan ones are ok. Shanester
I like to put them in co-workers coffee. They melt on contact and I can run away giggling like a school girl.

TBT!
All well and good until someone reuses them 4-3 times the box gets a little damp and you end up with a box of moldy oily gunk.. *mental note* never let Shane make me coffee. *mental note 2* Aapje is kinda scary, if something makes you sick don't eat it again (Alcohol is the one exception to this rule) T. captain_cbecker
My recollection is that those peanuts (as well as the noodle-looking ones) are made of a water-disolvable rice fiber. Though they are more environmentally friendly than styrofoam, I don't think they were intended as a food group.
cesium salami
I thought the eco-friendly peanuts were made from corn startch? The ones I ate sure tasted like Grandma's home cookin'. I once filled the bathtub up with water and dumped a whole box of these peanuts in, and watched then all dissolve into a nice beige foam. I felt like I was disobelying the laws of thermodynamics. TM2 Dinobot
I know they make flavored ones of those. They sell them in bags at like Homeschool conventions as learning tools (lick the ends, put them together to build something) I haven't seen them in a while, but I used to love freaking people out by eating the flavored one. cesium salami
I just got a package from AFX today! Mmmm, starchy rice peanuts (I stand corrected, they are rice). I think I clogged my bathroom sink, drying to dissolve the whole box of these.
buttheadsmate
Just arrived back from a ski-trip.On the porch was a package from AFX which has been there a week! Unfortunately best part of Series 19 & 20 have been eaten by either foxes or badgers ,along with a ton of peanuts On the bright side did anybody else get the free gifts ? They are amazing!!! Little brown tapered tasty tid-bits which are delicious (though a tad chewy) which AFX must have left in the bottom of the carton. I've got a few which I'll trade for Arsangel or Apoocollapse...no shit! Gotta go now my damn dog keeps trying to lick my face
infallible
Those peanuts are pretty cool. I remember a challenger on Iron Chef America using them. He shot them with a laser or something. He had kind of a "high tech cooking" theme going. The best part is that you can put them in a big box or something. Ferrets love that. They run around through it, and it's not a big deal if they happen to eat it. Plus, it's way easier to clean up than rice.
