cdubya
Danzig! We'll need the rest of The Misfits too Oh Hell yes! I've actually been trying to piece together spare parts (with a minimum of sculpting. Reason #138 why I needed that Ghost Rider Movie wave to happen...that leather jacket for Jerry Only!) to customize the "original" Misfits. Great Danzig btw! Another visually-interesting band in mate-form would be GWAR. While I sincerely doubt that any of this would actually happen, it is fun to think about. I think Marty from BttF comes with a leather jacket. Need the guitars from the BttF minis too. Doyle should be pretty easy to pull off with Namor a little paint and a little epoxy sculpt. As for drummers I'd go with Mr. Jim the first drummer, because he works with a friend of mine and hes a hell of a nice guy. Yeah, I thought about Marty but I really wanted those crazy exagerated shoulder spikes and collar "up". The guitars would pretty much need to be completely sculpted. X-Men movie Juggernaut was my first choice for Doyle's chest with some boots to give him a little height (I suppose Danzig could use Penguin's "slippers"?!? LOL!! No offense Glenn, I'm only 5'6" myself). The drummers never really had "the look"(until Dr. Chud...but that's another story), but I'd probably go with Robo as I always loved the cover photo to "Walk Among Us". Rocky's robe could be used as a decent "Crimson Ghost" Fiend 'til something better (articulated) comes along. Samhain 'mates would be cool too (Danzig, Damien, London May, Eerie Von incarnation)...blood-spattered variants! 6 words............Flock of Seagulls in Minimate form! Hilarious! Well, we do have Wolverine's coiff for the lead singer and those HUUUGE sun-glasses (Jack Baur series 3) for the guitarist!
karamazov80
I mean Metallica? Blink 182? Good bands, but they make for sucky minimates... "This is our guys in T-Shirts holding guitars line..." I've previously made a similar argument regarding human Minimates from TV shows, unless they have very distinctive faces, clothes, or accessories. However, sometimes human Minimates really come off well, where their essence seems captured by the Mini-makers. So, its hard to say how effective less flamboyant musicians would come off. They would probably be hit or miss, like the other human Minimates around. But apart from all that, I would like to see them attempt Tom Waits, the Police, the Pixies, the Beatles, Charlie Paker, Thriller-era Michael Jackson, or Thelonious Monk, as I really love those musicians, and would even like to have figures that didn't perfectly resemble the real deal. Shup Dude
Rock... hm... well, the Rock 'mates that are out I'd love to have, but sadly cannot find them anywhere besides eBay (overpriced, though). Bands now I'd like to se is System of a Down and Slipknot. Slipknot'd be so sweet! They're awesome costumes.

karamazov80
Cool designs Chaz, though looking at those makes me realize who the perfect Minimate musician would be: Bootsy Collins. It's like he was born to be made into a toy.
NorthRaider
As far as Minimate-able bands with visual appeal go (and I know I've said this in another thread), I'd probably go with the Chili Peppers. Between their respective tattoos (have we ever had tattoos on a Minimate before?), Anthony Kiedis's Californication-era bleached-blond hairdo, John Frusciante's long-haired "hippie" look, Chad Smith's sleeveless jumpsuit and Flea's gym socks/undies combo, they wouldn't look half-bad. They could possibly also consider an Abbey Road EP box set with the band's infamous "tube sock" get-ups... or maybe not Plus with these guys we'd possibly get our SECOND minimate in cargo shorts (after the SDCC Hunt mate). Again, wishful thinking.

karamazov80
. . . Flea's gym socks/undies combo, they wouldn't look half-bad. Off topic, but your talk about Flea got me to wondering. . .how awesome would Big Lebowski Minimates be?
NorthRaider
Oooh, I've been interested in getting this Bearbrick for a while. The only store in our area carrying them though is charging nearly $15 for a single 3-incher. Is that normal?

Don't know about that one specifically, but $15 for a Kubrick/Bearbrick is certainly not abnormal. buttheadsmate
Any price paid for any bearbrick is IMO too much ....I just don't get it (them)? That particular lump of s*"te is the 400% 'bigmotherelvis' & is currently a snip on BIN http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Medicom-Elvis-400-Be...idZp1638Q2em122
karamazov80
I'm with BHM. I don't like the Be@rbricks, but I know that some people ONLY collect those. They are so "cutesy" with the fat stomaches that I see girls or teddy bear collectors liking them I guess, and the complete uniformity between them is something that I understand people liking, but I think that they are too far removed from "action figures" for my taste. Of course, I never used to get Kubricks, either.

IndieMate
Slipknot minimates would rock! Hell, you could make 2 boxsets of them! Being as big a maggot as I am, I would KILL for those! They are the most visually interesting and you could come with interchangeable masks! THAT WOULD ROCK MY SOCKS!!!!
Dio
My Chemical Romance XD
NorthRaider
My Chemical Romance XD Hmm, a "Helena" or "Black Parade" boxset might actually be doable... wait, what am I saying? This is My Chemical Romance!! (Goth/Emo minimates ) I'll pretty much take any rock minimate boxset... as long as it'll get us a whole slew of minimate-sized guitars, drums, mike stands... turntable? (An old-school Incubus set would need turntables. Coldplay would need a grand piano. The Chili Peppers need a trumpet for Flea. Gawd... I wish we had more minimate musical instrument accessories )
Trekker 42
I still want Elvis done in a similar way to Chef Duff. One minimate and a ton of Accessories. Or a boxset of the different costumes.
TM2 Dinobot
I wrote DST asking for Elvis and the man in black himself, Johnny Cash. You can NOT tell me that wouldn't sell. Though you may be right, Trekker, Elvis may sell better individually packaged.

Though you may be right, Trekker, Elvis may sell better individually packaged. Played Elvis once in a School Musical. Listen to Johnny Cash every now and then. Both would be AWSOME minimates to own!! Of course, then we'd need all those instruments we don't have yet. I smell a retailer exclusive...
