Rene Belloq (Panama hat) / Nazi Soldier

Rene Belloq (Ceremonial robes) / Nazi Soldier

Indiana Jones (White Robes) / Cairo Swordsman

Indiana Jones (Dirty)                             Indiana Jones (clean, no satchel)

Satipo                                                       Marion Ravenwood (Nepal)

Rene Belloq (Pith hat)                           Nepalese Thug

Jock                                                          Nepalese Thug (Pat Roach)

Army Dump

3x Nazi Soldier

I mapped out the rest of the series in my head. I felt compelled to share. I opted for a Ghostbusters-like treatment in which there's a standard series with an accompanying box set depicting a specific moment or scene from the given film. Also, I feel that the deluxe sets may be a bit much, but nothing's impossible.

Are these a real possibility? DST announce any on this line? I’d so want these! A Raiders set for sure please! A minimate rolling boulder packed as a middle piece.

Indy & Short Round 2 pack with mine cart and broken track pieces.

I think an Indiana Jones set would be a big seller, but I don't think the property would have any legs after one or two sets. Let's face it, the vast majority of collectors (both of Minimates and Indiana Jones stuff in general) are only really going to want Indy, and since there's little variation in his look from film to film I doubt casual collectors would buy more than one set. I think you could maybe get three box sets out of it, for the first three movies, if enough people want a Sean Connery Minimate. Anything beyond that is a stretch.

Offering variations on Indy would allow new collectors to jump on board at any time. Look what DST did with Predator. We got WAY more variations of Dutch and the Predator than I expected.

- Spider-covered Indy

- Professor Indy

- Nepal Indy

- German disguise Indy

And that’s just from the first flick.

There's plenty of variation with Indiana Jones. Plus, who wouldn't want to army build generic soldiers?? They'd fit right in as civilian soldiers as well, similar to the Ultimate SHIELD Agents we got a few years ago.

I think you both waaaaaaay overestimate the interest in Indiana Jones toys that are not him in his traditional hat and jacket.

Medicom would definitely agree with you because as far as I can recall they produced 4 kubrick versions of Indiana Jones all as described above ,nigh on all identical except that one was a big 400% version . No other Indiana Jones kubricks were produced by Medicom.

Perhaps the weirdest or perhaps the most ironic kubrick of all was the Star Wars Series 2 'secret /chase'.............Indiana Jones

He’ll Disney has owned both Lucasfilm and Marvel for like seven years now and we still haven’t seen Indiana Jones comics. Star Wars comics started almost immediately but not so much as a miniseries for Doctor Jones.

There's something weird going on with Disney and Indy. Funko was able to make a Pop, but only as a park and con exclusive (at least that's what they said at the time). And if Funko can't get an Indiana Jones into every store in America, then DST doesn't have much of a chance.

No, I think it's specifically a licensing thing. I distinctly remember that Funko said they weren't allowed to make a wide release Indiana Jones, and that he could only be released as a park exclusive (and somehow they were able to fudge that to also be an SDCC exclusive). It could be something in whatever deal they have with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

As with the Fantastic Four and X-Men, Disney doesn’t want to promote anything that benefits the competition.

It’s my understanding that Paramount still owns distribution rights to the Indiana Jones films, much like Fox did with Star Wars. I doubt Disney will promote Indy until they have a film of their own. Most merchandising will likely focus on that fifth film, not the previous installments.

Well if we were to get Indiana Jones minimates, I would like to get the Nazi bodies as I would like to make Star Trek Customs from the episode "Patterns of Force"  I have made a Kirk from that appears Nazi-like using the gray suited version of Bison from the Street Fighter series.  I just would like to have the uniform look more authentic but I will not do the emblem of the Nazi regime but I would then be able to make Spock and McCoy in the uniforms as well.
