Nessex
Not sure if this is misdirection or what, but Evangeline Lilly tweeted that she had a costume fitting today along with an image. This looks a lot more like what Janet was wearing in the flashback sequences, and less like what we were shown at the end of AntMan. I hope we get to see her in something more akin to her black and gold look.
BuffaloDelorean
If that's accurate, I like it much better than her end credits costume. I still wish Hank and Janet had more of a presence in the MCU, but the last movie was fun so hopefully this one will be too.
NerdyTrev
I've never been too keen to the black/Gold look..... I know it's probably the most popular Wasp outfit, but it just never clicked with me as much as the Kirby design did. I guess that one just seems so much more comic book-y and clicks better for the atmosphere of the universe. Plus I really like Jan's MCU design. MisterPL
That specific image is from the consumer product style guide for Ant-Man. It's definitely Janet's costume from a couple years ago. Jay's getting his signals crossed again.
Zylek
The styles from the Avengers animated show usually tracks with the films.
MisterPL
I've now seen the Wasp suit and can say that, with some very tiny (no pun intended) modifications, you've seen it at the end of Ant-Man.
BuffaloDelorean
That's too bad, I don't really like the look of that costume. Maybe if/when Janet comes back from the Microverse, she'll stick with the more classic costume.
Mirymate
Unfortunately they've established the full-head helmets are needed to breathe when shrinking... because shrinking someone is one thing and apparently letting them breathe normally at reduced size is a bridge too far for believability. Not happy about it either. as an aside... I know it's unrealistic, but a part of me wishes that Jan could be portrayed by Kathleen Turner. MisterPL
I'm guessing the helmets are for VFX and stunt purposes as well. It's easier to CG a helmet than a human head. That said, there's a chance that the helmets will work like Iron Man's and reveal the faces when needed.

DSTZach
Strange that they went a different route for this fairly new Ant-Man cartoon. (One of three, all funny.)

Scott's first version did. I think the Civil War suit did, too.
MisterPL
In Civil War, Scott's faceplate ejects completely off. I was thinking of one that magically retracts.
TENIME_art
Well, his first version retracted, I remember that from the scene where he shows his buddies the suit in Pym's living room.
NerdyTrev
I thought the faceplate just lifted up like a welding mask.
Mirymate
First helmet seen in Ant Man, the face plate retracted. The revised helmet seen in Civil War, the whole mask popped off. Maybe it was supposed to lift up or retract as well, we'll never know. It looked very much like the helmet "ejected" the mask when Scott returned to normal size after his Giant Man stunt, almost like it was some kind of emergency procedure. >shrug<
Zylek
First look at Wasp, looks great! https://twitter.com/EvangelineLilly/status/902269977549516800
MisterPL
What happened to all the yellow? Color me curious.
Mirymate
Needs more color. Please don't tell me some genius decided it's cheaper to cgi the costume colors than buy yellow material?
MisterPL
Maybe it changes colors when it powers up? There's a surprising amount of CGI in films these days, stuff the average movie-goer wouldn't expect.
BuffaloDelorean
When the suit was shown in Ant-Man, I was hoping it would end up looking more like the modern black & gold costume, not less.
Nessex
Damn - that's a bit muted and underwhelming. I was hoping we'd see more gold highlights on it, like we did at the end of Ant Man. I get that from a tactical point of view, an all-dark costume makes more sense for infiltration and stealth..... but these are movies about people who shrink down to the size of bugs and save the world from evil robots/inter-stellar megalomaniacs/Norse gods. We have already suspended disbelief. Let the colours happen.

Wasp looks like she will be getting gold detailing on the figure.... however I did notice this in the text:'Figure and accessories inspired by the upcoming ANT-MAN AND THE WASP movie' So, who knows what she'll look like in the actual movie. I do hope we see a Gold & Black Wasp from DST tho, with a new wing mold!
youbastards
I hope we get more than a boxset for this, as Scott really needs some of his crew in Minimate form.
