Mysterious Stranger
Zach, have these reached our shores yet? And if so has TRU been shipped theirs?

Even though I didn't love the movie. It wasn't horrible . Hopefully we get a directors cut. MisterPL
Packaging shots usually show up from DST a month or so before they hit retail. I'd keep my eyes peeled. Any time now...
DSTZach
I posted those pics. Need to do some photo shoots. Specialty sets hit 8/9.
BuffaloDelorean
Is there a difference between the Xenomorph and the Goran Xenomorph?
TENIME_art
Welp, that's my fault for assuming they were from a collector. That makes me feel better.

MisterPL
Dang! I forgot to order these but I'm out of town for a while. I'll have to wait until I get home. Don't want a box from Luke's sitting on my front porch unattended for a week.

Mystery Man
Looking forward to seeing the spacesuited characters loose. These maybe help out with a void I'm trying to fill. Edited September 1, 2017 by Mystery Man
youbastards
I picked up the TRU exclusives today, like the Chestburster in the LCS wave, the Toddler Neomorph comes with the wrong stand, they both have a smaller peg hole in their feet that won't fit the included normal stands. I *was* planning on army-building the Xeno/Translucent Xeno 2-pack, but after opening them up I'm content with just the one pack. The scaled back tooling on the Covenant xenos is pretty disappointing, especially after all of the multi-piece tail tooling of the Alien/Aliens xenos. The tails on the Covenant xenos look like they are scaled too small. Also, the design of the neck joints on the Convenant xenos is disappointing, where the Alien/Aliens xenos have a ball joint that allows lots of nuanced posing, the Covenant xenos necks are sculpted to the head, so the range of motion is extremely limited. Overall, I guess getting them is better than not getting them, but overall I feel like the Covenant line was more of a filler wave while DST tried to determine where they were going next with the Aliens line, and I really hope the scaled down tooling isn't a sign of things to come for the next releases. youbastards
Hopefully DST can find a way to work some of the missing "gear" into future releases, maybe even some weapon/gear kits? I would gladly buy a bag of weapons/gear for $5. Same with Alien eggs and skittering facehuggers...a coiled up chestburster would be fun too! DSTZach
No new gear in TRU 4, but I just saw the control art and I hope people like it. I'm superjazzed. Five specific human characters from three different encounters, three distinctive xenos, more eggs, flamethrowers, pistols, chestbursters and facehuggers. Very cool. The Scarlet Spider
I'd buy those gear accessories @youbastards and I still haven't even watched Alien ? i might pick up the TRU if it comes with people and cool accessories. You saved me a lot of typing. Yes, I'm glad to have them. Yes, they're a bit disappointing. If DST decides to revisit Covenant, I hope they include more human and synthetic characters and fewer of these... mediocre xenos. After watching the movie again this weekend, I'd love to see another assortment.
DSTZach
I don't think these were meant to be a filler wave in any way. I'd have to check, but I believe this was a pretty tooling-heavy assortment. If any design decisions were based on tooling considerations, it may have been out of necessity. And I'm sure if the movie had energized the fan base, it could have been the main thrust of the Alien line going forward. If the wave does well at TRU, it still could be. MisterPL
For what many consider to be the "third best movie in the Alien franchise," the box office certainly disappointed. Hopefully home video and merchandising will boost profits.

TENIME_art
Found 'em last night! I'll be honest, I hated the Toddler Neo until I got him on all fours. He's so cool now! Edited September 8, 2017 by TENIME_art
MisterPL
Yeah, he definitely looks better like that. While I wish those stands had smaller pegs for the smaller peg holes, I don't find them completely useless since I have so many Minimates that never came with stands. TENIME_art
Also, if you crouch the Teenager like in my pic, the tail helps balance. (Though I'm not sure if he has regular-sized feet holes.)
