Valo487
With the leak of the trailer, and now this official image, I think it's fair to start discussing what could be for the X-Men Apocalypse 'mates. Also, something that I've been thinking about with these is that there are rumors that this may be the last X-Men movie in this continuity. Which, if true, would mean this is our last bite at the apple for some of the characters from this version of the universe. Obviously there will be more films afterwards, but who knows what they will be. I hope that DST is mindful of that and we are able to get a respectable representation of this film's characters. I know it is challenging with these large ensembles to get everybody in, but with the number of new characters appearing in this film, I would rather see this film get a spread like Avengers just got, than have huge holes in the assortment. Especially considering I feel that Civil War will definitely have a large release, and we just got almost all of those characters a year prior. What are your thoughts? Social Spider
I definitely think I'd be more inclined to buy the minimates if most of the characters were actually made instead of just a few. I collected both the Avengers and the Guardian series partially because I knew I could complete the team. Since this movie doesn't have double the cast, maybe it will seem to cover more ground with the 8 slots. Aren't they supposed to be moving forward with a New Mutants movie?? I assumed that if they did it would be continuing with the new, younger cast additions (possibly without Prof. x) instead of actual New Mutant characters. MisterPL
Nice to see Ronan getting work. I'm guessing we'd get the exact same characters we got last time (Magneto, Xavier, even-though-it's-probably-just-a-cameo Wolverine, Storm, et al) and maybe a couple others. After the disappointing assortment from last year's X-flick, my expectations are very, very low.

Valo487
I agree, that's why I'm hoping that maybe if we start talking about it now maybe someone from DST will see what we said and will do something different, or at least factor it into their planning. It probably won't make a difference, but I feel like this movie has a lot of characters with interesting looks that deserve to get made, and I would rather see a large spread for this than for Civil War. karamazov80
Lmfao Apocalypse reminds me of the villain from the power rangers movieThat's a common reaction. He does look a bit comical. Hopefully they use some CG to make him a bit more imposing. But he's just so short! I've become less interested in the character designs as comic movies have evolved over time, but still. . .an intimidating look is one of Apoc's big things. Kostisfire
This'll probably be what we'll be getting: Apocalypse Horseman Magneto Horseman Psylocke Horseman Storm Horseman Archangel Jean Grey Cyclops Bald Young Xavier

Gillbob316
This'll probably be what we'll be getting: Apocalypse Horseman Magneto Horseman Psylocke Horseman Storm Horseman Archangel Jean Grey Cyclops Bald Young Xavier Naw, I know how this DST movie line thing works by now, no way in hell will we get all four horsemen. We'll get two, and be left to lament the missing ones forever therafter. Anyway... God Apocalypse looks terrible. Looks like he stepped out of Guardians of the Galaxy and into this. As does Magneto's costume. Why is his face Blue? Everything BUT his face is blue, but his friggin' face is grey! It was grey in the post-credits sting from the last movie for crap's sake! I hate these movies, and want the rights to revert to Marvel with such a firey passion. Tired of seeing my favorite comic book franchise adapted so poorly. Oh, and Mystique looks like Jennifer Lawrence and is working with the good guys again. Big friggin' surprise. Not like striking out as a villain and not hiding who she is was a huge focal point of her plot or anything. Not to mention Psylocke and Jubilee just being the latest faces in a long line of, "Hey, who have we not used yet?" ... except they did use both of them. Younger. In an era that takes place further in the future than this movie. Which makes no damn sense whatsoever. But hey, when has anything about these movies ever made sense or maintained a sense of continuity? Amirite? Don't know why they even bothered rendering Origins non-canon. Not like it fits any worse than most of the other ones in this hodgepodge of crap they're trying to pass off as continuity. I'd love for this to be the movie that finally hits this franchise hard enough it has to go limping back to Marvel like Spider-Man did... but in all honesty, if a few of those other ones didn't do it, I doubt highly that this one will. And Deadpool looks like it will probably actually be good so... *Sigh* Guess we're staying on the Fox train. At least they're successfully killing Fantastic Four's film viability, by the look of things. Edited July 16, 2015 by Gillbob316
MisterPL
I'll ask. Why do they keep casting Halfricans as Storm? Were they trying to cast a younger Halle Berry or are they scared of hiring a chick who's actually dark enough to look like the character? For all the PC pissing and moaning about "diversity" in cinema, would it have killed them to find an actress who isn't half caucasian? Makeup! Valo487
I think that based on the performance of Storm over the last 15 years, most people don't even realize that she is supposed to be from Africa.
hailtotheking
Micheal B Jordan was on the short list to be Storm, because the character doesn't have to be a woman
undeadpool
Micheal B Jordan was on the short list to be Storm, because the character doesn't have to be a woman And here we have a joke that illustrates perfectly how one can "miss the point"
Heinous
She's black and has white hair. Idk why you're getting upset. Did you want them to go to Africa and find an actual African with the power to control weather?
MisterPL
Did you want them to go to Africa and find an actual African with the power to control weather? Yes, but I'll settle for an actual African. They still make those, right? And in dark chocolate, not milk caramel? Seriously, if they can hire a Latina to play Sue Storm and make her wear blue contacts and dye her hair, why not darken this girl's flesh to a more authentic hue? (Not that they got the villain right either. Just sayin'.)

Sugolf
Apocalypse reminds me of King Piccolo in the live action film. I feel like he's over detailed, which gives him that Power ranger villain look.

Twisted Two-Face
Sure am excited for the movie, but with Jean as my favorite comic character, i'm gonna steal a move from the John Oliver Playbook: #NotMyJeanGrey. It's like they Googled "young actress redhead," skipped past the porn results, and picked the first girl they saw. Sansa is definitely not "Jean." Scott's pretty on-point, however.
