karamazov80
http://www.cinemark.com/cinemark-classic-series I'm going to see Terminator and Jaws at least, maybe also Double Indemnity and Gremlins.
MisterPL
The Terminator is on my list. I saw it when it was first released but my daughter hasn't seen any of the films at all. This is the best way to remedy that.
hellpop
Huh, one of those theaters is just a few blocks from my office. Maybe I'll sneak out and go see the Terminator.
buttheadsmate
Jaws, best movie ever!
karamazov80
This will probably be the only way that folks can see a good Terminator movie in the theaters this summer. Jaws, best movie ever! It's not my favorite movie, but it is just about perfect.
Politician
At least maybe they're figuring out people would rather just see the original releases back in theaters instead of whatever sequel/reboot garbage that gets popped out now.
MisterPL
If they'd put more marketing behind these re-releases, they'd probably even make more money. The problem is that any success with these reissues turns into some studio exec pitching a remake. Case in point: Last month, Cinemark showed Big Trouble in Little China. Yesterday they announced a remake with Dwayne Johnson. Coincidence? I'm afraid some of these classics are just a test market to gauge current interest. Pedro Pablumo
A similar thing happened in the UK a while ago. Me and my dad went to see Terminator and Die Hard with a Vengenance.
