Marvel Zombies Villians 3

Based on this logic, I can see set 4 including:

-Zombie Stiliman

-Zombie Avalanche

-Zombie Whiplash

and some other poor chap. Maybe Tigra labelled as "Tigra the zombie who was turned back into a human but still has zombie-esque qualities!"

We still need a Whiplash

Or just slip Tigra in the regular wave for happy days.

Seeing Tigra in amongst all this makes my heart cry.

I might have to put let Gideon go and start campaigning for the West Coast Avengers.

I think this box set looks pretty damn cool :D
Has anyone read the whole Zombie series? If it actually worth read? or is it just fun to see zombie versions of Marvel mainstays?

I've read pretty much everything I think. The first one, the one where they travel through the various Universes, the one with Howard and Machine Man, the other with Morbius and the Ash (Evil Dead) one. Overall? Meh. Some "OMG, WTF splatter gore!11!1" moments, but that's about it. There is some interesting banter between the zombies, but it's mostly:

"I hungry!"

"I more hungry!!"

"Let's fight for who hungrier!"

"Shut up hungries, food escaping!"

And that's about it most of the time. Machine-Man and Howard were great though, I'll have to give them that.

PS: Black Panther as a living snack is still one of the most baffling, weird and downright bad decisions I've ever read/seen.

The Black Panther thing from the first series is such a good element and gave us a great Minimate.

I never liked it TBH. There are hardly any POC in the series and the one that does feature in them, is resorted to a living snack? Torture porn too much?

I've never read any Marvel Zombies titles. (And now that I've read about Black Panther, I won't.)

I never liked zombies growing up. They were far too real a threat to me and as a result less fun. Radioactive monsters? Sure. Mindless cannibals? No thanks.

It was when the genre started poking fun at itself and getting more inventive that I started watching zombie movies. Zombieland, Shawn of the Dead, and 28 Days Later prepped me for AMC's The Walking Dead. After watching that first short season, my son and I dove into the comic and that was the origin of my personal zombie craze.

The completist in me bought Marvel Zombies Minimates just for posterity (and I jumped on The Walking Dead although I've yet to open those). But the Marvel Zombies are a fun treat around Halloween and if they can give us heroes like Tigra to fight off the infected villains, bring it on.

This is the problem though: we aren't allowed to see heroes connected to these Zombie box sets, in any form. So, unless the status quo change, no Tigra... no Machine Man. At least not in our annual halloween zombie sets.

It was my understanding that we couldn't get any more infected heroes. I didn't think that precluded licensees like DST from offering heroes or other uninfected characters (like Ultron) within the assortment. I guess Disney's being extra anal.

I've read all of them (even Marvel Apes vs Marvel Zombies.. Yeesh!). So, the ones worth reading for sure are Dead Days, the first and second series. They're all written by Robert Kirkman (guy has zombies on the brain). The third and fourth are just OK. Return finishes up the storyline from the original Kirkman ones, and is written by Fred Van Lente. The issue where Spider-man goes to the 1960's universe is kind of good, but the whole thing's more or less meh. The rest (Supreme, 5, Evil Evolution) are blah, too. Your mileage will vary, but they're pretty forgettable.

I will say, though: Marvel Zombies vs The Army of Darkness is fantastic. If you only read one, make sure it's that one.

Not heroes, no. That's been discussed before. We don't make Marvel Zombies toys, we make Villain Zombies toys. Tigra and Machine Man would be great in the regular line, though.
