...Why would you not count delayed and DVR views? Seems kind of narrow-minded to live and die by Nielsen ratings in this day and age. What is this, the 1950s? :D

There were 22 million live plus 30-day views for the premiere, and an average of 14.5 Million per episode through the end of last year. Maybe there's been a dip lately, but it looks like the Joker might turn up soon. Plus, there'll be a second season.

In the TV industry delayed views means that people don't think it's important to watch your show live, that it can wait. For Fox, this means advertisers are less likely to run ad-time because it will just be skipped on DVR, that's actually bad for business and harms the network. The industry still lives and dies by ratings, that's why shows have so much turn-around. If a show isn't selling ad-time and it's live ratings are close to it's DVR ratings then you obviously have a show that people don't feel the need to tune into every week. Shows don't pay for themselves, especially on networks like Fox.

Also 22 million people watching the first episode over a 30 day period isn't that impressive. That's from good hype, their numbers clearly show people were not on board and quickly stopped tuning in. Despite any of this their numbers clearly show almost HALF the premier audience gone. No matter how good your first episode numbers are, you can't just lose half your audience and claim it's going great.

I think we often forget that Toyfair is largely an industry event and not at its core for the press, isnt the point of Toyfair to show product to potential vendors?

There are a lot of great mates coming this year. Even if we dont see them all this weekend

Did Gotham kill your parents, politician? Quibbling about exactly how many millions of people enjoy a TV show is not going to change its perceived success or the existence of the line. It's the number two new show of the season. It got renewed. Let Fox worry about the ratings, this line did not cancel out any old line or new license.

Too many Predator Minimates to last, between Series 1 and the first blind-bag assortment.

Alien Queen and Power Loader Deluxe sets each come with an additional Alien and humanoid figure, plus some accessories.

Ant-Man, Hope, Hank, Yellowjacket.

Whaaaa- blind bags? Well, crap. But that means more Preds so yay! ....I'm so conflicted.

Awesome news on the Alien sets as well. Queen AND power loader!

I'm questing Hank's in his Black Ant costume like in the Lego set. I hope Hope gets a Wasp costume as well though.

Also, is there anything new on display that we'll be able to see? Maybe a new marvel boxset, wave or something. The TNBC mates maybe? Mass Effect, TMNT, etc?

Thanks, Zach! I think that sounds like great toy Fair news. I am happy with all of that. Alien, Predator, and Ant Man sound like good plans. I will enjoy the Gotham mates; my mom and I both enjoy that show and are happy it is continuing.

Now get some rest, Mr. Oat! You have a big many days ahead of you.

1. I can't wait to see what this license has in store! The amount of different Predators we can get is so big.

2. YES!!! I have been hoping to get this news on the Power loader/ Queen since SDCC when I asked Chuck about it at the panel and he have an optimistic "Maybe".

3. That sounds like a pretty solid box set for a movie like "Ant-Man"!

Actually yeah my parents were killed. Obviously there's no way you could know that so no harm done. It's just one of those cliche things people say and sometimes it turns out to be the case.

Obviously my tone of posting is pretty brash and I suppose comes off as confrontational so I'll just I apologize for putting this thread in a tailspin and say I'm glad you're happy about the new line and that you're behind it and I hope things go well for you.

Was perusing Monster High news (MONSTER HIGH MEGA BLOKS!!! hopefully the minifigs are in scale with the universal monster minimates), and saw some pics of the NBX minimates:

too much Gotham talk for me to scroll through to see if this is old news or not, but there’s that.

Also, who is this Select supposed to be? Is this another original character like last year’s Hellsing or is she some Indie character I don’t know:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/mawphoto/15913769213/

She’s fun, I passed on Hellsing because he was little too cartoony, but she looks amazing... now can we get her and Hellsing as minimates in a 4 pack with the Phantom and Invisible Man please?!

I hope those NBC mates get made. I have a daughter and an ex sister in law that would go mad for those.

As for the other announcements I realy like Gotham as a show. I will wait an see what the minimates are like but I'm not a fan of civvie mates.

Alien an Predator stuff sounds great and I like the comic style turtles better then the ones already released so will prob have to get them and I was going to avoid TMNT

As I wrote that, I thought to myself "Don't write that," so even if it's not true, I apologize for posting it. It was late. And if it IS true, then I can certainly understand why you don't like Gotham.

NBX Minimates will get made.

Select figure is Jean St. Jean's design for Lucy Westenra. In our story, she survives and becomes a monster hunter a la Van Helsing. The two should look good together.

Looks like some of the AoU minimates are on display.

I know you said no pictures for the Ant-Man stuff, but will you be able to show the AoU stuff?

Idle Hands has pics up of all the DST stuff. Nothing new except for the NBX which are amazing (elves are so creepy its awesome). Final version of Marvel Wave 60 & 62 look great with lots of extras.

No pics allowed of second series of AOU nono.gif but you can see the feet in the background. It's Hulkbuster, Hulk, 2 Visions (one must be variant) and Snow Hydra Trooper.
