Mystery Man
These finally hit near me at TRU so I've got some Silk Spectre/Ozymandias sets for cost plus shipping if anybody needs them.

I know because the other 6 two-packs were still there... so anyone got an extra? Edited July 28, 2017 by The Scarlet Spider
SCW
I had all six of these in my hand today and couldn't pull the trigger. Not sure why.

NerdyTrev
I'd love to see a second TRU assortment of these some day with Adrian Veidt in his purple suit / Bubastis; Doc Manhattan in his suit / Laurie Juspezck in her red dress; "Noir" Rorschach / Moloch I think a Rorschach in darker colors would be great and calling him Noir is a nice gimmick. Onyx_6
As long as Rorschach comes with a couple designs for heads, I'll be happy!
TBT!
I picked these up at TRU today (PDX folks, Jantzen beach had 2 full sets on the shelves when I left) They are great but I really don't see the logic of them selling at $7.50 a pack in TRU and the 4 pack at specialty is $25. You can go to TRU and get 6 characters for less that the price of the 4 figure specialty boxset, where of the 4 figures are the same. T. buttheadsmate
When the Watchmen kubricks were first released several years ago they were sold blind-boxed & for some while kubrick collectors scurried around getting them . Once the dust had settled TRU released 2 box sets of them ,identical in every way to the blind-boxed versions . The TRU sets were distributed by a company called Diamond Select & TRU almost ended up giving them away . I wonder whether the Watchmen box sets are destined for sale outside of the USA where most Minimate collectors have no access to TRU ? MisterPL
My LCS is still sitting on a couple of Kubrick Watchmen sets. The owner pointed them out to me years ago and I said, "If they were Minimates, I'd buy them." Patience pays off yet again.
buttheadsmate
Now you've got me thinking ....they were at TRU as well weren't they ?
MisterPL
I honestly don't know. I think I recall seeing them there and wondering why.
bilbofett
TRU did have them. 19.99 a pack was a little steep for me. They did eventually come down to 9.99. But I wanted them as minimates. Yes! Patience DOES pay off.?

The Watchmen Kubricks were indeed at TRU. I remember wanting to buy them but not in the hope of maybe one day they would be made in Minimates form! MisterPL
Are we talking about alternate Walter portraits or different mask patterns? Because I'd be down for both.
Onyx_6
I was thinking for the mask. In the movie the 'ink blot' pattern kept changing.
TENIME_art
The ink blot kept changing in the movie because it kept changing in the comics. I also meant mask not freckle-face.
Glantern
I picked these guys up last week from TRU and have really been loving them so far. I did find one small oddity when I was looking closely at the packaging, specifically the Rorschach/Manhattan bio: I think DST got the wrong name for Rorschach, cuz Ernie Kovacs would be this guy. And while Ernie may well have had a troubled mind, he definitely wasn't Rorschach!

I can see from Glantern's pic that there is a CE mark & the UK Runcorn address on the pack , they'll be available outside of the US ...in the EU. TENIME_art
Ha, whoops. Also, even though I bought neither (got the 4-pack), I think a better 2-pack pairing would've been Rorschach & Nite Owl, and Comedian & Manhattan, since they were paired up that way in both comics & movie. *shrug*

Mysterious Stranger
Is it a mistake or a clever plot by Rorschach to throw you off his trail?
