minijeff
In slowly reassembling my collection after the massive museum show it seems I have suffered a couple casualties. A couple busted knees on some older mates that will require replacements but the biggest gap seems to be that my Justin Hammer from the Iron Man 2 single packs seems to no longer be present. After some searching I currently don't see him on Ebay either...is he really that rare? Jeff of the Miniacs
buttheadsmate
The easy answer would be yes it is rare , 500 IM2 dump cases were sold, each had one Hammer . Not a favourite of mine but I reckon I'm in the minority because he gets on many 'wants' lists .
karamazov80
I had one, and gave it away Like BHM though, I honestly didn't think it was a great figure, despite my appreciation for the performance.
ElGallo21
I got a Hammer mate with a lot that I purchased and my only reason for keeping him is Sam Rockwell.
TM2 Dinobot
I got lucky with mine. If you call $32 'lucky'.
CaptainChunk
Apparently yes, I've never seen one in person and he rarely pops up in my searches on eBay. Not a big enough draw for me to drop any serious money to get him though.
HelloMate
If you don't mind army building some drones, this would be a reasonable way of getting a Justin Hammer. http://www.amazon.com/Iron-Man-Minimates-Counter-Dump/dp/B003230H14 I would definitely check with the seller that this is an sealed and untampered dump case though... battlecat
Yeah, I skipped him at the time because I didn't see the movie in theaters so didn't realize it was a Rockwell mate. He does pop up on eBay every now and then, I finally caved and grabbed one for $25 last summer.
The_Donster
Yeah, I remember being similarly shocked when trying to find a Deathstroke for my son for the holidays. Definitely makes me regret not picking up the last few waves of the DC Mates and being years behind on the current stuff. I got lucky and someone hooked me up. Out of all of the minifigures I've gave him, Deathstroke is still in one piece. Good luck in finding a replacement.
undeadpool
I actually lucked out, as he was the only figure from the dump that appeared at my local store, (at least by the time I got there) but I use him primarily for a Ben Urich custom, though I too loved Rockwell's performance
hellpop
He's just a guy in a suit. I couldn't see spending that much for him, no matter how rare. BTW, as far as Deathstroke goes, I think he was already pretty rare and going for high prices before DC Minimates even ended. I was looking for an extra for quite awhile (I needed his mask to make Grendel), and it was a pain.
Shanester
The single packs from the dump sets are probably the fewest made of any of the retail release figures. Hydra suit Red Skull is a pricey one, too.
TM2 Dinobot
Yeah, I've never even seen him and he's the one I'm missing.
buttheadsmate
It won't make it any easier for folks but Cap dump cases were eventually on 'clearance' with BBTS for about $33 . The chase figures in dump cases are just irresistible to me .
karamazov80
Too bad they weren't 1/96 blind box chases. Those are REAL fun to chase down.
TM2 Dinobot
Nice. Almost 5%
buttheadsmate
Nice. Almost 5% Despite what I've said "500 cases ..blah...blah..one per case...blah blah " I have my suspicions that 'others' (over & above those chases in cases) get into the market-place ....somehow . I'm not consciously being mischievous with that comment I'm just relaying what I can see & what I have seen for sale .
DSTZach
Unless we made more than 500 sets (I don't know how many we made), I am honestly not sure how they would. Not through us. Thank you to the man who hooked me up with my Hammer. You know him, you love him, he's youbastards.

buttheadsmate
I definitely should have emphasised that I was referring to Dino's comment .....there is simply no plausible way that each of those 'Sixes' originally came from individual cases .... & trust me I have more . This is also odd ........... http://www.amazon.com/Minimates-Builder-Elite-Assault-Armour/dp/B004H4UY38
TM2 Dinobot
A 404? Not that odd. Happens to me all the time.
buttheadsmate
A 404 ....a 404 ..... http://www.amazon.com/Minimates-Builder-Elite-Assault-Armour/dp/B004H4UY38
TM2 Dinobot
Oh yeah, I've got one of those sitting on my desk right now. I'd gladly swap it for a Red Skull. That's way over priced.
DSTZach
Is the gold one rare? I don't know how many sets we made of Halo or BSG, but I imagine BHM's method of acquiring his Dead Sixes would say a lot about their provenance. I recently sent the last six of our BSG dumps to Apollo to give out to sick kids. I kept all of the Sixes, so if anyone needs one, come see me in Chicago. buttheadsmate
The 'gold one' ought to be rare because it was one per case & there were 500 cases . It just seems odd that that seller ( Amazon) has had that .....& only that......particular Halo single pack up for sale for the last 3 years . He's got 13 left & ....again ,trust me.....he had more. So where'd the other versions 'in his cases' go? Regards my method of acquiring my 'Dead Sixes' ? I'll share my secret but don't spill.... I buy them . Edit: You can also put in your notebooks that the Halo dump characters are all unique ....which is unique in Minimate dumps.
