bigvis497
Hey all! Longtime figure customizer, first time Minimate customizer. I did a Spider-Mobile and a HERBIE for Secret Santa this year and here they are. HERBIE I wanted to do because he was small and fairly simple. I'm probably going to do a lot of these "pack-in" types in the near future. Here's a WIP shot: Here he is complete: And with the team: I added the flight stand like the TRU16 Hulk/ROB. I'm surprised we didn't get HERBIE with all the FF stuff earlier this year. I like how he came out and I already have ideas for some more small characters. Next up is the Spider-Mobile. I got the idea for this when I saw the TRU Knight Rider cars on clearance. I wanted to do a vehicle that nobody tried before. This was all Apoxy sculpt with a ton of sanding and re-sculpting. Learned from my mistakes quite a bit while doing this project. This was probably my most ambitious custom to date since I've never attempted a vehicle before. I gotta say, I prefer sculpting organic material more because it's easier to cover sculpting mistakes. I'm gonna attempt some more things like this once I get better tools. The webs were a nightmare to paint. Here's some WIP shots: I wanted to do the rollbar but it just wasn't working with the time and materials I had Here's the final: Thanks for looking! Nervous Rex
Awesome work dude! I've been wanting to do a certain vehicle forever but never quite sure how to do it. Gives me the ideas and motivation I needed.

Lobsterman
Nice work, Bigvis! That is an ambitious project, and I think you did great! For your next vehicle, had you considered using cut and heat-shaped sheet styrene for the larger body parts? It's a lot cheaper than Apoxie if you're using that much of it. Awesome work dude! Mystery Man
I was lucky enough to get that HERBIE and Spider-Mobile as part of Secret Santa this year. I'm glad BigVis was able to post pictures since my camera has been acting up. They're absolutely fantastic reproductions from the source material and I couldn't be more thankful for 'em. bigvis497
Not too happy with the execution on this one but I like the idea. Surprised how well Leader's head still holds up. Took some liberties with the costume, but he doesn't really have a definitive look so I think it works. Loosely based on the Marvel Legends figure. If this was actually made, I would like to see it come with an alternate "popcorn-head."
Hawkeye's Junk
I really like the look of your Leader. Good idea going with the legends color scheme. I will definitely be copying this. Thanks for sharing.

TENIME_art
I should have a couple extra Brides. They're just in storage, if you're not in a hurry...

I actually only use the robe and hands if that makes a difference.

bigvis497
A little something I'm working on. Surprised with how popular Venom is, we don't have a "regular" Venom
bigvis497
Figured I would post this here since it's kind of a "custom." Been helping a buddy of mine build an action figure room and in turn he gave me his entire Minimate collection. I made the shelves myself and the brackets are just generic Home Depot stuff. Everything is sturdy but we really, really need figure stands. Have had some falls but luckily nothing has broken yet. I have my own shelf reserved for my Legends commissions, I'll get some pics of that when we set it up.
