View Askew Minimates

Looks like you have to buy B&W Jay and Bob again if you want Dante and Randal, but at least they are a little different:

Toy-Fair-2014-DST-Jay-and-Silent-Bob-004

They are different enough I don't mind. I wish I had known the color set was coming again with the exact same figures plus the extra Susanne, because in light of this that post-SDCC color pack was a ripoff. Its only been a few months, they couldn't have waited? This is such an unusual move on DST's part. They couldnt have made the figures at least a little bit different?

What are we calling Mark Hamill's character, DST? :timbo:

Knock-cocker?

Crotch-banger?

The only Mark Hamill mate we'll ever get?

....I don't see any reason he won't be called Cock-knocker, especially since the full size figures are coming with "paraphernalia". Doesn't seem like DST is shying from the seedier aspects of this license.

Maybe it will help us get Dr. Bong! :)

its funny you are ok with the new B&W ones because "they are different enough" from the previous ones, with just new facial expressions,

but you're upset about the new color ones even though they also have different facial expressions and Bob now has a Utility belt and they come with Suzanne????

All of those are box sets. Four from the BM&C movie set, four from the road, four from Clerks.

The Clerks versions of J&SB are very different from the Strike Back versions, even the black-and white ones.

The Series 2 box set should include ski masks for J&SB, for the break-in. Hopefully that will give you a different enough look for them.

Look again Mattalica, theres more new to the b&w Clerks versions than just the facial expressions.

Zach, if you can say, are there plans for Mallrats, Clerks 2 and Chasing Amy, or are they dependent on the sales of these?

I was trying to find the post I made with what studio put out what movie, but I can't for some reason. The license is for Miramax only, and Mallrats & Clerks 2 (and my favorite, Dogma) aren't Miramax, unfortunately. Not sure on Chasing Amy. I think yes?

EDIT:

Clerks. - Miramax

Mallrats - Gramercy

Chasing Amy - Miramax

Dogma - Lionsgate

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - Dimension/Miramax

Jersey Girl - Miramax

Clerks II - MGM

Zack and Miri Make A Porno - The Weinstein Company

Cop Out - Warner Bros.

Red State - SModcast Pictures

They should do a SModcast podcast set! I'd love one of Kev & Mo as they appear on the poster :)

The Clerks set of Jay and Silent Bob are what got me into minimates, so I shall be doing my best to get as many of the View Askew sets as I can :)
