MisterPL
It's true. Kind of an edgy property for this category but it certainly sets K'Nex aside from other construction categories, especially since they've been following the lead of so many others by delving into licensed mini-figs in the first place. Shanester
Yeah, I don't think FG is as kid-friendly as K'Nex does, but people will probably buy them.
TM2 Dinobot
Ugh. I wish Family Guy would just die. Again.
karamazov80
It's like the Simpsons, if it was raunchier, and about 50 times less good. Edited May 10, 2013 by karamazov80
UK Collector
Agreed on both counts K80 and TM2. Who is the target market for these?!
MiniFiend UK
I like family guy over simpsons as a program but K.nex family guy figures are a bit puzzling.
dr baghead
Odd these have building sets and aren’t just the figures like KISS and the Beatles... the “multigenerational appeal” thing is weird too but hey K’nex if you’ve got FOX licensing on the phone I’d gladly toss more of my money your way if you want to make some Bob’s Burgers or American Dad minifigs (I would gladly drop $150 to build Bob’s restaurant!) karamazov80
the “multigenerational appeal” thing is weird tooYeah, it almost seems like the guy in charge of K'nex saw that it was a "matureish cartoon," but never actually watched it, and assumed therefore it was like the Muppet Show--kids can love it, as can adults. Or maybe he means multi-generational as teens as well as guys in their 30s-40s?
Twisted Two-Face
As someone who grew up in the Family Guy generation, i get the multi-generational concept. I knew people in 6th grade watching Family Guy, and they still do. That said, i don't get this property at all. Family guy doesn't even lend itself to being K'Nex-element-friendly. Really weird license to take on.
MisterPL
My adult son and I watch Family Guy. There's your "multi-generational appeal," I suppose. Doesn't mean we'll be running out to buy these toys though.
groundhog7s
Ugh. I wish Family Guy would just die. Again. Couldn't have said it better myself. the “multigenerational appeal” thing is weird tooYeah, it almost seems like the guy in charge of K'nex saw that it was a "matureish cartoon," but never actually watched it, and assumed therefore it was like the Muppet Show--kids can love it, as can adults. Shhh. They might hear you and try to make Muppet K'Nex too.

youbastards
Those look horrible. I don't think "America's Building Toy" is something I would brag about...
