Kenx
looked today and found the price tags but they did not put the box yet.
JeffBohn
Found them today. Picked up all 12 of the blind bag figures, will wait for a sale on the box sets. Per Generalsjoes.com and hisstank, there are codes on the back of the package. Printed on the back, on the right side I think. (UPC code is the same for all) 23401 75 Alley Viper 23401 76 Cobra Ninja Viper 23401 77 Cobra Trooper 23401 78 Crimson Guard 23401 79 Cobra Axe Ninja 23401 80 Kim Arashikage (Jinx) 23401 81 Kamakura 23401 82 Quick Kick 23401 83 Rock-N-Roll 23401 84 Scarlett 23401 85 Adventure Team Commander 23401 86 Torpedo
Cappy
Thanks for the heads-up! Found the full release at my local TRU: bought a couple of boxes and a handful of the solo figures. Who could resist a ninja temple?! I'v been very satisfied with the Kreon minifigures. They are definitely Lego-compatible in grip size and the brick quality is right there with Lego, well above Mega Bloks. So, yeah, Jatta Pake, you're learning fast that most of these blind bags have a code somewhere on them that lets the discerning buyer avoid dupes. Even without know what was in each bag, I was able to buy unique numbers. And, of course, had I hit the internet first (as JeffBohn posts), I could have actually sorted through for specific figures (like, say, Kim Arashikage). I think Lego is about the only one that has made their markings so subtle it's nearly impossible for a normal human to decipher it. And Playmobil, I don't know that there's any kind of code on those bags.
boyd
I love the idea of Joe block figures. But I just don't like the look of the Kreon figures. I'm torn over the Joe Kreons like extra-small underwear on a fat guy.
Jatta Pake
Comparison pics for the curious: The Good: LEGO lovers will love the head and accessory compatibility with Joe Kreons. Kreon body is more articulated and pose-able than LEGO minifigures. The Bad: Kreon torso not compatible with LEGO legs and vice versa. Two pegs (LEGO) vs one peg (Kreon). The Ugly: Kreons have no compatibility with Minimates. The ball joints on Kreons are smaller than Minimates. If you want to turn Kreons into GI Joe Minimates, you will need a sharp exacto and glue. Edit: The Kreon torso is compatible with the Minimate crotch. More research needed on potential customizing options.
hellpop
Thanks for the pics, Jatta. I'm really not a big fan of the Kreon humans (though I love the Transformers), but I might end up picking these up. Has anyone checked to see if the sets and vehicles are close enough to Minimate scale to work? I've made enough GI Joe customs to want to give them something to ride around in. Jatta Pake
I think the Minimate size compatibility is equivalent to LEGO. Minimates are just a tad too big, but I only picked up the Checkpoint Alpha set so I can't speak to the other sets.
JeffBohn
They are 'buy 1 get 1 50% off' at Toys R Us this week.
gambitron
Thanks so much for the numbers on the back of the packages! Now I can be sure to get just the ones I want!
Jatta Pake
Anyone know if the second wave of blind packs is out yet? What are the numbers for the second wave?
JediJohnson
I think the Minimate size compatibility is equivalent to LEGO. Minimates are just a tad too big, but I only picked up the Checkpoint Alpha set so I can't speak to the other sets. Do you have a pic of the Checkpoint motorcycle with a minimate that you can share? TENIME_art
I only got the Dojo set because Storm Shadow is my favorite. I don't know if I'll get any more. Not too big on them. Minimates have seriously ruined other minifigures for me, lol.

SCW
I keep hearing this is dead, but is there any proof of that or is it just the usual Joe fear mongering?

karamazov80
Just looking it up, that only comes with one of the Crimson Twins? What a jip! But I would definitely get one for $35, even though I don't have anywhere to display it.
Hawkeye's Junk
Two weeks after Black Friday they marked the kreos down to 65% off. I ended up returning my $50 for a $35 one.
