AGENT 88 KICKSTARTER MINIMATES

Recommended Posts

Nickelodeon now owns 100% of the TMNT rights. Who knows, Eastman may have some influence with the Nickelodeon higher-ups, but he isn't making those types of decisions. From my understanding, he sold all of his ownership to Peter Laird a while back, and then it was Laird who sold the whole shebang to Nickelodeon for approximately $60 million.

Maybe Digger could just get a loan from his buddy?

They already deleted the edit. Gotta love Wiki-shit.

Here's what I wrote:

Unfortunately
Digger's legacy as the creator of Minimates has been forever tarnished. While
promoting his Agent 88 kickstarter he appealed to the Minimate community with Minimate
rewards in exchange for contributing to the kickstarter. He went as far to open
a dialog on the Minimate Multiverse, the most prominent Minimate website on the
net, to encourage members to give him money in exchange for exclusive Minimates.
Shortly after the kickstarter campaign was completed and successful, Digger
ceased communicating with the members. With the kickstarter ending August 2012,
the rewards were supposed to be fulfilled March 2013. As of February 2014 they
have not been sent out and Digger has not responded to multiple communications.
In fact Diamond Select has yet to hear from Digger as well in regards to
producing the Minimates. There is an impending lawsuit from the kickstarter
backers to try and recover their money, as they were fraudulently deceived by
Digger.

well im still at it, I Recently sent out messages via Facebook to some of the actors involved in A88

"Hello, Are you aware that
the people that gave their hard earned money to fund your film Agent 88
through Kickstarter, have yet to receive the rewards they were promised
to get over a year ago, by Digger.
"

Here are some of the replies i got-

From Joseph "J.G." Gatt:

" I'm sorry to hear that Matt.
I wish I could help but I'm not in contact with Digger because I didn't
care much for his "business ethics". You need to contact Digger

Damion Poitier

"I was a work for hire
performer and not involved in any capacity with the production end of
things. Seeing as how this is the first time I am hearing anything like
this I will have to assume it is an anomaly. That being said I would be
more than happy to ask about any such situations and do what I can to
resolve them..."

and from the writer of A88

William O,Neill:

"Matt, I am sorry to hear this. I'll contact the producer and find out what is going on."
directly.

Or maybe, in fitting with the rest of that write up: "As with other great artists, Digger cannot be held to the same moral or ethical standards as other mere humans. The artistic ends of a genius such as Digger justify any means, including the manipulation of lesser men and women to facilitate the great artist's vision. Any unwarranted whining by plebians who were used to create the live action masterpiece, Agent 88, are thus embarrassing themselves, and only showing how little they truly are when juxtaposed with the brilliant shining star only known as 'Digger.'"

There's nothing random or miscellaneous about that man's art. I think you need to apologize, YB. Many toy industry insiders refer to him as a "Rockstar," you know.

Ha... It keeps getting better.

Anyone else get an email from Kickstarter saying their servers got hacked, and customers' email addresses, passwords, etc were compromised?

I know that's not directly related to the A88 thing, but as that was the first thing I've kickstarted, it sure didn't help get the bad taste out of my mouth...

So Digger now has a 3rd party excuse to delay the shipments even further.

"Due a breach in Kickstarter's security, we have lost all your contact info. Please contact us with your mailing info so we can string you along for another 12 months."
