Usually when I see Multiversers in Phoenix or Las Vegas picking them up then I know I can officially start the search. I stopped in the Sugarhouse location today and no luck. On a side note: I ordered a couple TRU Ultimate FX lightsabers online and received 1 lightsaber and 1 $80 doll house. Cracker jack bunch over there in TRU Shipping. Noh Varr came to Earth from an alternate universe version of the Kree military, whose motivations are a might unclear, and somehow his ship crashed on Earth, and as the sole survivor of his crew, the junior crew member is captured by Midas, who does not leave him with the best impression of humanity. The prototypical angry young Kree, he spends some time thinking himself humanities enemy before repeated contact with Earth's heroes, young and old, and the 616 Kree Supreme Intelligence softened his stance. Even so, Norman briefly tried to recruit Varr into his first Dark Avengers as his Captain Marvel, Osborn's arguments made more persuasive since earlier Illuminati's attempt to dissuade him from his anti-Earth crusade by ultimately letting Namor beat the boy half to death. But Noh Varr was not a villain at heart, and quit Osborn's team and started aiding heroes his age, like the Young Avengers and Exiles. After the Siege of Asgard, Varr is recruited into the Avengers for his knowledge time and dimensional travel. Heavily influence by the SI, who had taken young Noh as his new favorite pawn as Mar-Vell once was, Varr adopted the uniform and identity of Protector. Things go well until the SI takes a more active role in Protector's career, essentially ordering him to destroy the Phoenix even if he has destroy Earth to do it. Protector plays at following orders, but ultimately betrays the SI and the Kree to aide the Avengers. Unfortunately he ticked of Thor with his feigned betrayal the Earth, who told Noh Varr if he ever showed his face on Earth again, Thor would make him a smear on Thor's hammer. They had a pretty good amount of them on the peg, but how TRU is they always put mates in random spots. Had to do a little searching, but they are on the west coast now atleast. Though one pack had 2 left phoenix killer gauntlets and the other was missing Protector's alternation hair. Made an exchange with customer service and everything is perfect now. I love this Scarlet With. And thanks Miry. I knew bits and pieces about Protector, but not the whole story. Ps. I found them today in SE PA, (granite run mall location). And I agree that the gold looks great with his visor. I'm gonna try to customize the other set I got with some clear red over the gold. I have no connection to the look or story, so the colors don't meant that much to me..... Plus, I got some plans for his mask anyway Hey, we're neighbors (sorta)! I live in this general vicinity, though I'm actually closer to the KoP one. I was going to make a run down there sometime this week; good to know I've got something to look forward to. :biggrin: I didn't know there were 'versers in the area, I'm by the NE Philly area. I live by the Franklin Mills TRU, but I do most of my shopping at Langhorne TRU by the Oxford Valley Mall.
